  • When i die, i want to be reborn as Frank Gambale

  • @DonGambali Combine it with Larry Coryell for the styling.

  • non si sente neanche una nota sofferta...tutto pulitissimo..maledetto..XDXD

  • maestro

  • Any individual who dislikes this is musically impotent. This song alone is marvilous. I can play it on the guitar but never on this speed. That's very hard and it's all the enchantment therewith.

  • @jayfirm20 You took the words right out of my mouth brother. I saw a comment from a guy that was just clueless man. He said frank was basically just show casing his speed picking technique and frett work and who's music had no musical soul, can you beileve such impotence? Obviously this guy nows nothing of Frank Gambale but what he wants to.

  • Jesus! And I mean it!

  • Someone tell me when Anthony Hopkins and Andy from the Office started playing together.

  • UHOOOOOOOOO!!OH MY GOD!!!!

  • Really like Frank very much.

  • this might well be my favourite song ever

  • Frank's tunes are so Miles inspired

  • @jazzpsalti Whose aren't?

  • @MrvlZmb blah blah blah

  • wow!

  • 37 like this and 3 idiots don't like it

  • 37 kike this and 3 idiots don't like it

  • Absolutely amazing musicians

  • frank is master!!!!!nice trio too!

  • This would definitely mess one up playing the bass on the upright. Sweeping on the acoustic even sounds better. When I am tired of other guitarist on you tube, Frank is like getting out in the country and breathing some fresh air.

  • If you guys like this song, check out THE challenger with steve smith and stu hamm. It's this song, but sped up... with great inbetween sync runs... its on the GHS3 album.

  • With respect to Gambale , one may not forget that he not only plays his, in general, sublime guitar music , but composes it as well. Considering his work in various fields, composition, teaching, playing, guitar tuning and construction, etc., he may well be called the J.S.Bach of non-classical guitar.

  • After this I don't know whether or not to sell my acoustic or keep trying.

  • @ronc1600 This shouldn't deter you from playing your acoustic, it should make you try harder and take a different approach by using Gambale's ideas to add color to your playing.

Never give up, we live only once, don't regret never trying.

    Give it all or nothing.

  • @TrevorWilsonHimself the only extraordinary thing in gambale's play ,is the zwepping and arpeggios ,on electric he is great but the way he uses the pic is no good for nuances(sensibility of a note),he doesn't have the harmonic intelegence of a metheny, the feeling of a benson or the tecnic of di meola ,and last but not least when he goes from electric to acustic he is just one more of the group, miles bihind mclaughlin or reetinour.sorry but u have to learn more about guitar .saludos

  • @anticholotonto Your opinion is yours and i don't care much for it.

Music is no competition and i don't care for anyone such as you who demotes such an incredible guitar player such as Gambale who happens to be imo the greatest sweep picker in the world.

I am a guitar player myself so don't comment in such a rude way. Holdsworth said "Gambale is Insane" And Holdworth is far surpast any guitar player and has been for 30 years. Just Listen, enjoy And don't be so rude.

  • @TrevorWilsonHimself ummm strange !! we agreed about his sweeping tecnich but i just said his phrases are weak cause the tecnich ,hi has allways the same sound(attack) music is more than speed or just arpeggios,in fact the guitar is an ORCHESTRA ,with bass and melodic lines ,with nuances ,piano ,brillannt, staccato, forte ,allegro....etc. but i think this notions are unknown to you.ps: when he plays 'got a match' he uses only alterned pick.

  • @anticholotonto You are correct in saying the guitar has all these possibilities of being orchestral but musicians use it in different ways and Frank gamble uses it in an amazing way and you can't comment on his technique and say he only uses Alternate picking... He plays how he wants to play and has world wide recognition for it. Just let me say can you do a better job? when you have the credibility and success then maybe i will listen to your opinion more intently.

  • @anticholotonto it is okay i understand you... Fantastic you can play such music, you say you can play 17 notes per second and you say music is not all about speed? Its not the speed but the notes chosen...

I would explain what i can do but it is no competition, forget about technique and speed, make music and if speed happens to be involved it is there to build and release tension.

    Thank you for your comments.

  • @TrevorWilsonHimself u r welcome and by the way he is a great teacher.Adios

  • @anticholotonto Frank not only has everything you say he doesn't. he literally reinvented the guitar as we know it and how it is played. A master on the extremely high level of a guy like frank Gambale can do what ever the hell he wants despite the musically impotant ramblings of an obvoous guitar novice, or just plain ill informed and unable grasp such higher level skills that come from 40 years of practice to to this level. You are just out of order man.

  • @DonGambali hi gambali ,try to play the guitar first and dan talk about it;this guy just plays arpeggios ,u do't know but when u play just arpeggios u can not make nuances about the sound, when i was 12 years old i was able to play scales from 17 notes a second not knowing it was zwepping jajajajj try to see a video here maurizzio colonna anf frank pendejo gambali jajaja u will directely see a musician and uno arpeggio player jajaja hijo de puta jajaja

  • TREVORWILSONHIMSELF, I'm no guitar expert but you talk absolute tosh, pull your head out your arse! welcome to the real world!

  • Frank Gambale is to guitar what Einstein was to Astronomy and physics.

  • Totally agree...he is a total genious!

  • HOLY SHIT ,THIS IS SO SMOOTH...i need to go and get gambale's acoustic albums cause i only have a the GHS CD's
