"With due respect to Peter, there is a flaw in his reasoning." No, he's emphasizing the moral hazard of government bailing out homeowners. If I *know* I live in a high-risk area, I simply put up and buy insurance, build a strong house, I take my chances. But it is unethical and immoral to ask the rest of Americans to bail me out IF a disaster DOES come and destroys my home.

Yeah Insurance is good; but my homeowners went up and they told me it was because of 9-11. So I still paid for someone else's disaster too the insurance company instead of higher Govt Tax. Seem's there is NO WAY OUT!
