How the fuck did you get the lift to get down so fast? That's where I keep getting fucked over. Got it to 2:04, and now its outright pissing me off that its nearly impossible to get the legit way cause I loose by fractions of a second even when I do each part faster and more accuratly than you

It pisses me off I get through the first part roughly 3-4 seconds faster than you and keep pace for the rest of the video, and yet I end up with a time of 2:07 and shit like that.

I remember speedrunning through this level. I defeated the bodyguards so quickly that I followed Cassandra out the door.

The frustrating parts in this level are 1) the goddamn office workers near the Rocket Launcher and 2) the goddamn elevator in the basement! It lags timing and I'm always 20 or 30 seconds late when I finish the level.

It's a port complete with newer textures, a smoothed framerate, and online play for all the multiplayer modes.

So...it's a little more than you'd get on the VC anyway.

When you press start to switch weapons, does it still add to the total level time or does it pause the in-game timer while you're in that menu?

Is that why you always use that way instead of holding the A-button to switch, which is usually faster otherwise unless you have a lot of equipment? (but doesn't pause the timer)

Yeah, it saves you time when you press start and do it that way, even though it's slower.

i had so much fun with this game back in the day. awesome video ! perfect dark is the best fps of all time. well, probally call of duty 4beats it now. i don't really know didn't play CoD4.

Yeah, you're right, glitches aren't very fairplay. But the first level's glitch (Paragon glitch) sucks and is fucking hard to beat - this one is too simply, and also I like to kill Cassandra's bodyguards. But, if you use it, that saves approximatively 25 seconds.

Er no I don't know about that trick, but I prefer not to do glitches for the cheats like the first level with the falling through level glitch. It won't really help people who want to do it the right way.

In this game tricks to cut down time as far as my experience goes adds to the fun..

@Bizkit047 The swithching forward and backwards through weapons instead of reloading; the starting a level a certain time through to beat an elevator, the speech skipping etc all made this game fun, which makes this game epic, there is more than 1 way to play this game, the "right" way can be boring sometimes.

PS: utube fucked me over again since the new design so I had to do it like this.
