@syedahmedrazaabidi ... The legs do extend to practically 0 degrees past the joints, but then the main column is probably 1.5 feet (it's not in front of me right now).... So I'm guessing you can get your camera AT LEAST 1.5-2 feet off the ground with the 055xprob without rotating the center column or something crazy.
To Blueworks: I'm not the video author (obviously), but a ball head can of course tilt or pan. The problem is that releasing the lock allows the camera to move in ALL directions, so getting a really smooth and isolated pan would be difficult (since it's so easy for it to shift up or down, or tilt, at the same time). Some ball heads (not the 322) have independent pan locks. The 488RC2 is one.
Now that you've had it for a while would you still recommend this tripod and grip setup?

Nice pod. I'm getting an 055xprob. I thought about paying more for a carbon fiber, but I actually like the idea of the tripod having more weight.
Maybe eventually I'll want one for carrying around more and get a lighter one as well.

@martinaee
Apparently, carbon tripods are stiffer, and you can always add a stone bag if you need more weight

Someone in my office was talking so I couldn't hear the narration but it seemed like a pretty good demo.
