Dang it! I never wanted to see the puppeteer for Elmo! Elmo's real and interdependent of puppeteers! (sigh) This shall NOT ruin Elmo for me! LOL But on the serious side, this was a good special they had on Sesame Street. Kids should be able to see the reality that some families do get affected by such realities of life as war, but even more they are affected by going through the hard times of life together as a family. Family support is very important, and children need to see this more.

wow I never remember the street dealing with such big topical things when I was growing up. I watched it during the 80's, but there was no episode telling you how to deal with AIDs lol

i still remember when mr hooper died and they dealt with it on sesame street. it had a big impact on me. i think this will have the same or more impact on the kids and families who watch it. yay for the street!
