I always thought gray was a good choice for the protagonist's hair- it threw me off at first from the whole White-Hair-anime-teen stigma, but they actually made good use of the color gray as a neutral. It gives the character design the flexibility to aptly represent any personality the player chooses or him.

@Forte81489 Souji's okay. He's actually got more personality in the things he says than Minato, although his character design is pretty blank. He's got a popped collar and wields a golf club, how can you not love him?

He's fairly dull in the manga, though.

P4's good, worth playing. I still love P3 a lot more for the depth of its characters and a plot that doesn't feel thrown together (like P4)-- but this one's gameplay just works. So try it.

in p4 they took out the fatigue effect on your party and made social links for each party member which i perfer but on the downside they made it too easy and took out the persona combination attacks which pissed me off took out the request thing for igors assitant which in this one her names margret and replaced it with a social link it coresponds to elizibeths request side missions but theres only 10

So many different ideas and things clash together, that it just comes out being awesome.

It's refreshing to hear stuff like "Reach Out" and "Mass Destruction" (from Persona 3) during battles instead of normal JRPG battle music.

Personally, I hope the trend catches on and goes forth into our current generation of consoles.

Yes it has everything that did Persona 3 an innovative game with some upgrades, but for me P3 = P5, the storyline is way, way better plus making it the first in Persona series with a social simulator included.

P4 is an amazing game with a mature story about psychological exploration and self-acceptance. I doubt every kid will understand the TV world intervals and how they are significant. Because a strip parlour and a gay sauna are childish... If P4 was exactly like P3, who the fuck would buy it? It would be the same game. P4 is upbeat and lighthearted and not full of suicidal imagery. The fact that it's different shows how original the developers are.

Really, compared to most of the stuff you'd expect from SMT Persona is really tame. If anything P3 and P4 are aimed more at the mainstream (generic anime artstyle compared to the stylized models from Nocturne and the DDS games and the more generic music selections and J-Pop themes compared to the electro-techo-rock stuff from just about every other SMT game in particular stick out).

Persona 3 is about delving into the darker side of humanity while holding onto your soul with the strong friendships you form. Persona 4 is about seeking truth and justice, helping others save themselves, and becoming a better person in doing so.
