Back in the early 1980s I worked for a scrap yard that had a LS-90 set up with a magnet, it was a good machine to operate. Scrap yards gone now never did find out what happened to the crane. I know it was sold so hope its still out there somewhere. Good video. Phil
I'm glad there are people like you preserving the old cable rigs-I used to follow the sewer pipe projects around La Crosse Wisc. when I was a kid -got a cab ride in a Link Belt dragline when I was about 10-always wanted to operate one but never got the chance-painted up my Tonka dragline to look like one-keep up the restoration work
@nammedic71 I've always wanted to learn to run one too, so I bought one, Its a lot of fun, and challenging. Much more complicated than the hydraulic ones I run at work.

What kind of engine do you have in it?

@floodedcar123
It's a caterpillar d318 diesel. The same one used in some D6's and 12g graders.

That awesome that you guys are saving that old iron. That's a classic piece of american history that shouldn't just be thrown aside.

Very cool, I've got mine all jacked up on blocks so I could pull the crawler frame out for repairs to the center pin bushing and steering mechanisms.
