Sorry I cursed, Shameful. Ya know, I thought it would be nice to listen to while I go to sleep tonight. I can't really find a bible play list on utube. That's shameful. Music creates mood. It provokes emotion. Ever notice the the soft music in the background as the preacher asks for money? To me, the word of God should stand alone. What? we can have a country version of the bible, a blues version, I got an idea, lets make a reggie version of gods word. Yeah, lets disguise Gods word with music.
I searched for a while on the internet last night and could not find an audio version of the bible that did not have music. What is this world coming to I have to ask myself. Its not such a hard to to understand. I would like to hear the word of God and be able to concentrate on the words I hear. Hopefully they will soak in. The music in the background takes away some of this concentration, I find myself listening to the music, not the word. It is a legit point that bring up. Sorry I ranted. :)
For people who are not that familiar with what the Bible says- a bible set to music is not the best thing. It can distract. You have not looked hard enough, search for "bible gateway audio bibles" those do not have music. Also World English bible from audio treasure does not have music. JustTheWord, my other channel, no music on those...all audio and text..although I put that project on hold for awhile. But sometimes, sound effects that bring out the drama is nice for a change.
Thanks, for the info. I will search for those. Thanks again. Yeah, I guess for some it would be ok or even good to hear the music. I am a musician and a music theorist. When I hear music, I always, always, focus on it. Once again, Sorry for the rant, and thanks again, again, LoL, :)
