Well...he's half of Sora.Because Sora wanted to save Kairi in KH1 when Sora defeted the dark Riku.Then he seals his heart to Kairi when he puts the Soaleater keablade to his heart.Thats how he created Roxas.Roxas's name was still Sora at the time,but then Xemnas come to him and created a new him for Roxas.That's how Roxas was created...for his name.
