  • Motors and generators like to spin fast to spin fast. More volts does not mean more power. Power is V*I.

  • anyone tried___ w w w diymagneticmotor com ?

  • Squeaky, but cool. : ) keep up the good fight.

  • if you add air pump , you can use it for running air conditioner also.

  • This is good. With our own creativity, we can even create a version of a wind turbine that suits to our liking. The good side of it is that, with wind turbines, you generate your own electricity without depending from any electrical company thus, exempting you to any charges.

  • very informative video, lol

  • Hey, check out my website at ScientificallyGreener(Dot) com and get all the new and improved Equipments to build or buy your own solar panels and wind energy turbine systems ScientificallyGreener(Dot) com is a website that sells the most modern environmental products available

  • What is that squeaking noise? It almost sounds like its getting caught and slowing it down... but i am not n expert

  • make the blades shorter and wider and it will spin faster. Higher rpm means more volts.

Made the same mistake myself. I got twice the rpms with smaller, fatter blades. It will start in lighter winds with more surface area also.

  • true, but you know what else is true... more windings in the coil make more volts. stronger magnets with original size wire.. make more volts. magnets closer to the coil.. make more volts.. .. now say you want more current... larger blades makes more torque, at the right voltage.., in turn, makes more current.......

  • a good way to solve this problem, is to have them not too small , and not too large.. and have a 3 phase system, that can be switched from a star coil configuration, to a delta configuration.. .. Star, makes more volts at low wind speed and produces low current, Delta makes more current, but needs more torque, and wind speed... anyway, you could use bigger blades if you use light weight material..... yeah im building a windmill, put a lot of thought into it...

  • get a permanent magnet motor and use that. car alternators are way too lossy.

  • kinda squeaky..lol what are the blades made from?

  • 10in. schedule 80 pvc pipe quatered.the squeak was a loose bolt.each blade at that time was 6ft. long and drawed alot of attention but a storm came through a few months back and broke one.thanks for the comment:)
