  • I would love to have this hymn in Spanish... it's simply beautiful!

  • speechless, just speechless!!!

  • This is the most magnificent hymn in all of Christianity. Dr. Wilberg's arrangement is the greatest. It thrills me, no matter who sings/performs it.

  • @scubawrestler As gorgeous as this piece is I would not paint with quite such a broad brush. Please try listening to Allegri's "Misere Deus", or Victoria's "O Magnum Mysterium". And please let us know what you think.

  • This sounds like the same arrangement we are working on at BYU-I. I *LOVE* IT!!

  • @walktovanish This was the same arrangement, and I saw you perform it in the new BYU Conference Center for the Dedication. Simply breathtaking!

  • How horrible are we to still sin after all he went through for us? I am bawling. I love this song. Just follow the only God.

  • @yamaho5 Because "bothering" is how others become great. I've heard the Mormon Tabernacle Choir version and think it is Great, also. But when it inspires others to worship other then, and only then, does it become the "GREATEST".

  • shame this version cuts out some of the best lines of the hymn.

  • LOVE how the Fr Horn just SOARS at 4:25!!

  • i lov the orchest but5 not with the choir

  • LOVE Mac Wilberg; no other arrangement comes close to his of "Come Thou Fount." What a gift he has, and what a gift he shares with us!

  • By far my favorite!! what a tremendous job!

  • goose-bumps. I love it. this is mine and my dad's favorite song. beautiful.

  • We sang this for two or three nights with the Las Vegas Philharmonic and I got goosebumps every time we reached that big crescendo near the end.

  • @Crystal0418 It took you all the way to the end to get goosebumps? ;o) As soon as the altos come in at the beginning, the chills start running down my spine.

  • oops--never mind--I didn't see the ID box in the top right. I'm new to YouTube and techno-challenged. They don't let me out that often. LOL

  • Hey I know the feeling. Don't feel bad ok? I'm a technoklutz too.

  • Who is the choir? orchestra? Great job!

  • Las Vegas Master Singers singing with the Las Vegas Philharmonic

  • Very nice...I love it!

  • Awesome! I'm in the tenor section!

  • great rendition. The same rendition was done by the BYU choir over ten years ago and it excactly the same. Very nice.

  • I'm sorry NOTHING! beats God's music!!!!!!

  • I love singing this for church...its such a beautiful song..

  • Very nicely done, but I feel that the vibrato in the ladies' voices detracts from the piece. They should sing without it. However, this is a very beautifully done piece by Mack Wilberg. Thanks for posting!

  • absolutely great it touchs my heart. Very good.

  • I've sung a few Mack Wilberg pieces before, and I certainly agree as to his wonderful talent for arrangement especially as shown in this setting of "Come Thou Font." That was truly a beautiful performance!

(BTW, I have heard of Andre Thomas. While I haven't sung under him, groups I've been a part of have been influenced by him. I believe he and the director of a group I currently sing as a baritone with - Peggy Joyce Barber - are known to each other ...)

  • oh very nice, he was an excellent conductor, we had him at NY All State as I said below

  • wow, that sent chills down my spine

  • Thank you...it's really an inspiring work!

  • yes it is, Mack Wilberg is a genius

  • Without a doubt!

  • what part do you sing

  • I was conducting. :)

  • wow, nice job. BTW I'm a baritone and was a baritone in the NY All State Mixed Chorus conducted by the great Dr. Andre Thomas. Have you heard of him?

  • Absolutely beautiful! Thanks so much for posting this.

  • I sang this in my high school with an orchestra and I loved it, truly brought tears to many eyes.

  • My high school choir did this last year, and it is a very beautiful piece. We should be doing again at the 400th anniversity of Jamestown this May. Perhaps someone will videotape us and put us on youtube

  • Beautiful...

  • This is FABULOUSsssxssssssss!!!!

    Postumous love,

    Maria Callas (Suicidio)

  • Wow! How great it must be to sing with such an organization!

  • One of the most beautiful pieces ever written for choir and orchestra. We just did this at my church and it was truly moving.

Great job strings! Conducted a tad too fast for my taste; you could have milked it more.
