Just downed this guy tonight, what I can tell you is this boss is the halfpoint in FL and is a gear-check, meaning it's not quite puggable. Also healers must be on point 100% and if you have priests have them use Hymn of Hope between Torment crystal transitions(right after the 2nd despawns and after the 4 despawns).

Also all dps must be over 19k dps in order to beat the 5 minute enrage. Pop hero when the first crystal spawns. Thumbs up so others know.

you can easily one-tank this, but healers require good communication to have one with huge stacks to succesfully heal back the tank after decimation blades. and i know in 25 mode good communication is as option since most 25.man guilds go zerg mode hehe

Ok, I think I'm confused, mark 2:07, he says , "This way we have a tank with very high health to be able to survive inferno blade, and a tank with much lower health to reduce the amount of healing required for decimation blade." Now I remember and wrote down that decimation hits for 250k or 90%, whichever is greater, so low health tank will get one shot by a decimation. Did he mispeak or am I missing something? oO

@lolzri Telling people what to do is awesome. But I like Learn2Raids guide because he tells you what spells a boss has and what it does. So for any decent raider it allows them to start working on their rotation / spells and reaction should something go wrong. Telling people what to do is good , but if something goes wrong / someone dies - then the people who only know what they have to do won't adapt.

we just downed this boss a few seconds ago I noticed that when the boss hits with decimation blade he does a debuff which reduces healing recieved by 90% which makes it impossible for you to get healed so what we did is the off tanks takes the first hit I take the second and the off tank takes the third giving the healers enough time to heal us up as for dealing with the increased fire damage I had to rotate my cooldowns almost all the time

the main problem my guild has with this guy is that the decimation tank gets to many blaze of glory stacks for the healers to deal with it.

he starts by getting 2 or 3 stacks (cant remember) and ends up with about 260k but he keeps getting more stacks when he is tanking during decimation blade.

anything to do about this or does our healers just need to suck less ??

@MrSCPhoenix healers just need to suck less. also we rotate healers on decimation blade rather than with torment swap. it allows healers to get bigger stacks to deal with the tank damage. 700k crits on divine light ftw.

@wildy0000 well maybe if you had the brain to keep up you'd under stand its a simple fight out melee and range dps, have the tank healers heal off torment to get vital surge, then when they heal tanks they get vital flames whil the tank taking decimation blade gets the debuff that increases dmg taken and health by 20% i mean its really simple mechanics and i as a healer can do this fight no problem even though my guild has yet to down any boss in firelands
