(I kept waiting for him to start berating one of the captured charcters as "Private Pyle".) Steer clear of this one.

The original TCM: Spooky, good storyline, truly sad and horrifying at some points, tension and nervousness at a LOT of parts of the movie.
Remakes of original movies: Some slutty girl has sex, and then hears something. She walks slowly, asks "who's there?" no answer. She starts getting scared, so she goes to take a shower. She comes back, and the front door has someone knocking at it. Pretty much the same.

i love this version of leatherface. the eric mask is just phenomenal when he puts it on for the first time. They did a superb job on this movie.

if you watch all the extras on the TXCH massacre-the one with Jessica Biel and also watch the extra stuff in the movie hostel it says that the txch massacre was based on two things...and not really what happened--but based on IDEAS of what happened- in the ED GEIN crime and also the MANSON MURDERS..

the real leatherface was ed gein. he killed a woman by by tying her with crossbars and shooting her. he then decaptated her and gutted her. later police found heads, skulls, etc, socks and etc made from human flesh and he also wore a mask made from flesh. he also had a chainsaw. look it up on wikipedia. hes dead now, and yes, i am only 14
