I think asphalt 5 is better. Need for speed is way too easy. You are barely even involved in the game. It's automatic acceleration and the turning is basically automatic too. You don't even have to hardly tilt the ipod/iphone to make sharp turns. Asphalt is way more challenging

Asphalt is wayyy harder. Asphalt 5 is more of a game you play when you are waiting around and want to play a serious game. NFS is more of a get a few minutes of shiny graphics while you are on a 5 min subway or bus ride. I love both equally but hate how Gameloft made the tilting based driving in their games not maintain the straight horoizon like NFS.

Looks abit like a very early PS2 game to me. Though not bad for a handheld phone I must say. Once handhelds can dabble with things like real hardware transform and lighting and HDR like the console versions of this game, then I will be impressed. OpenGL limitations maybe or a limited amount of power for Pixel and vertex shaders on the iPod itself I guess. OK I'm just comparing a PS3/360 to a phone which is rather stupid

Bilinear texture filtering, DOT3 bump-mapping, 2X-4X super sampled anti-aliasing. These are all the advanced graphic effects the PSP has trouble doing, while the iphone does them easily. All of these are a dream for the PSP. Looks like the Dreamcast (iphone) vs PS2 (PSP) war has risen again, in the handheld version of course. Of course the N95 has even better graphic potentials than iPhone, meaning future hw accelerated N-Gage games will also have similar or even bettergraphics.
