Problem with taking a Pally to ZA is that when you get to hex lord he is gunna do 3 pally moves concecration,holy light, and Avenging Wrath so hex lord becomes a real bitch to heal thru cause all ur melee dps are gunna have to be healed like alot.
2x fire mage aoeing+boomkin aoe+lock aoe= hatch em all at once(T4-s2 geared) then the screen freezes a little and the next thing u notice= everything is dead, continue the boss fight then ^^

Just did this fight, it was so easy, I took every single dragonhawk on one side, downed them then waited for the 50 stacks of the debuff on me then finally did the other side, piece of cake, the bomb dodging is really easy too, , its just that odd flame breath that can get ya as at around 40 stacks, it hits for 10k.
One side, SPAM HEALS LIKE A MOTHERFUCKER. AOE, done. Healers, pop trinkets here, if the pally dies on the second side its survivable, if he dies here you lose

my guild has cleared ZA and the only t5 boss we have killed is void reacer and only a few have the shoulders, most people are 4/5 t4 atm might be harder but cmon its only like a litter bit of difference

nice vid im watching all the series atm , just thought a tip u didnt mention but used was tilt your camera to a birdeye view that way you can find a clear spot alot easier.
there are no MODS that record videos, you have to use a thrid-party program like fraps, unless your on a mac(like me ;D), in which case, blizz has recently patched in a mac recorder ingame, just click [ to start recording in that case and edit with imovie, compresses ingame.
Our guilds MT is a pally tank, 21k health, tanked all bosses up to Solarian in the eye. And in fact, done my research, combined with mitigated damage, effective health etc....warriors are only 2% better.
Just did it as Feral bear on adds (5/5 T4 no gems/enchants). Downed him after 3rd or 4th try. If u are skilled enough and can coord with ur raid ur fine :)

You're in TK/SSC, while many Guilds attempting ZA are in T4/Kara/Gruul. I'm not taking away from your accomplishments or your video, just pointing out that a video made by a Guild geared at the T4 level might be more helpful to the Guilds just starting to attempt this Boss.

One thing to remember with Jan'Alai is that he has two enrages. The enrage he hit in this vid is his soft enrage which comes after 5mins or 30% whichever comes first. Then comes the HARD enrage, or the wtfpwn enrage at 10mins.
Also some people have a healthy respect for prot pallies, others don't. It's just a matter of perspective.
My guild always has 1 or 2 prot pallies in a raid since, for us, they make alot of bosses and pulls easier.
Hydross, Leotheras, Tidewalker, Fathomlord, Void Reaver, Solarian, all of ZA, and all of Kara. We've used prot pallies there and it's always been exceptional. I'm not saying Prot pallies can be MTs (at least not yet).
And yes, nothing beats a prot pally for multi-tanking.
ok was MT this boss last time we raided there..we didnt have a second tank for birds and we had 2 healer..so i wanna ask 2 things 1) do u think its possible like that?(we downed him to 39%)...2)After the fireballs explode is it a must to bring him to his old position starin at exactly the same direction?..cause the damn bastard just dont want to follow my moves..
1)its stuff wit only two healers cause it is a really hard fight to heal as it is, we have done it with three healers, one of them tankin the adds but idk if you can do it with out 2 healers and 1 tank; 2)i like to bring him into the middle again due to the flame breath thing, so people do stand funny and get hit by it
And can hold AOE agrro 100 times better than any warrior, have holy shield, more stamina talents, and the ability to buff everyone in the raid not just their party. Sure, paladin tanks are a joke. Tell that to our paladin who tanked Kazzak. =)
But ya know what, I expect someone from Alliance to not appreciate what a prot pally can bring to a raid. Good luck trying High Astromancer Solarian or Morogrim Tidewalker without paladins tanking. =)
aaaaaaa we did and have for a LONG time, they are not needed they just make thing ezier. a buddy, his guild doesn't use a prot pally here they use a hunter you have to realize there is no one true way to do a boss, I just post on here the more general way's people do these. O and get this when we did bring a prot pally to Tidewalker it just made things harder on us, yes we got the job done with him but it still made the job harder.
if you really want i can post a vid of us not using a pally on tidewalker to prove to you that we use frost nova and other things to make it so people don't die (i would ofer to do the same with solarian but you know what I ALREADY DID).

where does that leave pally's you may ask, healing, why, cause your the best single target healer in the game. o and all those stamina talents, you need them more than me, but you know what, your still not going to have more life than me, i have 21k in a raid o o and what's that im still wearing a T4 helm, gloves chest bracers from kara. to your pally that tanked kazzak grats, nothing more nothing less, why cause i never said he couldn't.
well im a protardin and yes i do consider that the best MTs are warriors but at the end of the day, if u have a protardin your whole raid can put out at least 15% more DPS without worying about pulling aggro
excellent vid. my guild has yet to beat even 1 boss in here. of course, we havent downed gruul yet either. may I ask what mods you use and what level of gear is suggested for this boss?
i my self have gear that is tk/ssc level stuff and he can still hit me kinda hard. this fight really will take a good number of wipes to understand it and get the perfect strat for your team. As to kinda get back to your question, i have heard that some "pug" teams in just almost full T4 (so about ur level maybe a little better) have full cleared this place, i say this without any real proof thu other than i have heard.
i personally don't care what people do, i usally ask what people do when/if i ever switch guilds just for the hell of it but i look at it like this, if you get your job done, who cares what you do, hell you can jerk off and play for all i care

heals can never keep healed through the enrage. they always let me die like 1 min later cause they oom. at least the dps got him to 3% when i died.

FYI, ZA isn't an instance for guilds that can barely do gruul's, the gear has a lot of ssc/tk equivalent so its right about that level.
Thats why many guilds that are at t4 level barely get past the third boss.

One thing to remember with Jan'Alai is that he has two enrages. The enrage he hit in this vid is his soft enrage which comes after 5mins or 30% whichever comes first. Then comes the HARD enrage, or the wtfpwn enrage at 10mins.
Also some people have a healthy respect for prot pallies, others don't. It's just a matter of perspective.

My guild always has 1 or 2 prot pallies in a raid since, for us, they make alot of bosses and pulls easier.
Hydross, Leotheras, Tidewalker, Fathomlord, Void Reaver, Solarian, all of ZA, and all of Kara. We've used prot pallies there and it's always been exceptional. I'm not saying Prot pallies can be MTs (at least not yet).
And yes, nothing beats a prot pally for multi-tanking.

ok was MT this boss last time we raided there..we didnt have a second tank for birds and we had 2 healer..so i wanna ask 2 things 1) do u think its possible like that?(we downed him to 39%)...2)After the fireballs explode is it a must to bring him to his old position starin at exactly the same direction?..cause the damn bastard just dont want to follow my moves..

1)its stuff wit only two healers cause it is a really hard fight to heal as it is, we have done it with three healers, one of them tankin the adds but idk if you can do it with out 2 healers and 1 tank; 2)i like to bring him into the middle again due to the flame breath thing, so people do stand funny and get hit by it

Doing this guy with one tank and one healer seems like asking for a rep bill, but it can be done I guess, if your group has good gear.
If one of your healers is a pally he can AoE tank the birds with Consecration and spamming heals on himself to keep aggro.
But like Slap says, 2 tanks and 3 healers and at least 2 strong AoE classes is ideal.

And can hold AOE agrro 100 times better than any warrior, have holy shield, more stamina talents, and the ability to buff everyone in the raid not just their party. Sure, paladin tanks are a joke. Tell that to our paladin who tanked Kazzak. =)

But ya know what, I expect someone from Alliance to not appreciate what a prot pally can bring to a raid. Good luck trying High Astromancer Solarian or Morogrim Tidewalker without paladins tanking. =)

aaaaaaa we did and have for a LONG time, they are not needed they just make thing ezier. a buddy, his guild doesn't use a prot pally here they use a hunter you have to realize there is no one true way to do a boss, I just post on here the more general way's people do these. O and get this when we did bring a prot pally to Tidewalker it just made things harder on us, yes we got the job done with him but it still made the job harder.

being able to buff people? so you got me there but you what i say, while buffs are goin out i get what 2 maybe 3 mins to my self to do NOTHING, i say that better than havin people always bitch to me what buff they want. the fact of the matter is that anyone can MT, pally druid or warrior, but if you look at the numbers (for to much to explain here go to the wow forums or elitesjerks for that stuff) warriors make the best MT's, and druids make the best OT's

well im a protardin and yes i do consider that the best MTs are warriors but at the end of the day, if u have a protardin your whole raid can put out at least 15% more DPS without worying about pulling aggro

i my self have gear that is tk/ssc level stuff and he can still hit me kinda hard. this fight really will take a good number of wipes to understand it and get the perfect strat for your team. As to kinda get back to your question, i have heard that some "pug" teams in just almost full T4 (so about ur level maybe a little better) have full cleared this place, i say this without any real proof thu other than i have heard.
