Gotta love GEFS... You know, I went through the trouble of 'mapping' nearly all of the major European airports, so that I can travel back and forth. I do enjoy it quite a lot :P
If I'm travelling a 3800 speed, I am usually able to touch ground at 260 speed with 100% flaps if I 'shut down the engines' at approximately 40km from the runway.
Suddenly the font and graphic of the instruments of my ‘Google Flight Simulator’ became too big and the bars that show throttle, rudder, elevator (on the bottom left)… just disappeared. Seems like I zoomed the screen during GFS! Probably I hit a key or combination that caused it but I’m unable to go back the way it was before. Any help there?
@Guns258 go to tools> enter flight simulator > then you choose the plane ( i recommend the 2nd one for beginners) > then current view/or airport start and flyy
Before you go making negative comments about my video, I suggest you learn how to spell. It really is a basic need in English literature. Yes, this landing is not good but you have to consider two things. Firstly, this video was made nearly two years ago. Secondly, I have improved a lot from then. I don't use Google Earth any more; I use FSX. Besides, this isn't even close to flying. Come down to OAA and show me how to land a King Air if you're so confident.
I'll usually come down with a velocity of around 60, flaps 100% and a decent descent rate and a shallow angle with the ground. Most times I can make a landing without skipping at all. Start lowering velocity at around eye alt. 800 and keep zero degrees on the horizon as you come down.
@Mazza4Azza oh... how do you keyboard without getting out of control.. also, isn't there some kind of auto pilot? cuz its really boring to keep trying to maintain level
@Mazza4Azza oh and the first two planes you get when you get google earth, always choose the jet cuz the other plane, when you taxi, you veer off to the side and you crash land... also you can't see some of the controls on it... when i press lightly on the keyboard, it automatically stalls... so its really annoying
I personally favour the Cirrus. As you can see from the video, I have no problems with it when I land. The keyboard just takes a little used to; it can be quite tricky at first. I use a joystick now which is much easier. I don't use the simulator much now, though.
@Mazza4Azza ok thanks i figured out how to use a gps (if you didn't already know) you search a route on the normal google earth and then a purple line shows up follow it on the simulator
@Mazza4Azza someone help me.When i land on the runway and apply the brakes, the plane skids sideways but it was not a crash. For example,1 time i landed at Xiamen Gaoqi Airport. It landed on the runway but it kept going sideways until it was out of the runway.(note:i used the F-16.does it have something to do with the aircraft?)
Check your speed when you land. It is easy to forget how fast you are going when you land in an F-16. Second, make sure you use rudders using the , . keys. That should help.
@AbideMs sr 22 is bad about bouncing and if u use google earth u realize that because there is not electronics to line the plane up it is usually very hard.
tip for a good landing i did it having flaps full when touching down makes it harder to pull up before you land at 30 ft reduce them to 75 or 50 it brings the nose up causing you to land back wheels first
That's odd. I was able to taxi. Maybe it's because the landing gear of the Sirrus SR22 remains down because they are attached to the fuselage. Like a Cessna for example.
I just opened up Google Earth and went into flight mode on the Sirrus. There is no sign of 'gear' - even when I press G, the gear sign does not show. On the other hand, The F16 does show 'gear' and it disappears when you press G.
Much too fast on the landing. You should be very low, (like 20 ft or so) you should be able to tilt the nose up and still drop safely. That's how slow.
Bad Landing, you need reduce the speed when use the complete flaps, but never give up, tried again and in some days you´ll the best pilot in the landing´s, have great day
If you have a good approach, good speed and a good altitude, your guaranteed to have a good landing, also tilt the nose up slightly just before touchdown, if you dont know when, just look at your altitude bar to the right. Tilt your nose up at about 20ft :)
So can I, this happened to be a one off. If you have nothing nice to say, dont say anything atall. By the looks of it, you was probably told that at the age of 5 by your attitude. Good day.
One tip for landing is right when you touch the ground, press and hold the up arrow to lower the nose. Then slow down with comma and period.

It is a fun little tool!
Do you use a joystick?
Mazza4Azza 3 weeks ago
@Mazza4Azza Don't have one. I use solely the keyboard. I'd like to try it with a joystick though. Might just be easier.

I think it just takes time to learn how to use the keyboard properly. I'm not sure if there is an autopilot which is a down-side.

tis isn't a good landing.
your Approach speed is to high.
and your speed also, the max speed for a good and perfect landing is 90km/h.
but if you practice you will be able.

Mazza4Azza 1 year ago
Approach speed was way too fast; put in more flaps earlier. Final approach speed in the Cirrus should be about 80 knots when using full flaps.
Google earth flight simulator doesn't simulate ground effect, so your roundout, flare, and touchdown will never be realistic.
nashdp 2 years ago
100% flaps if you do then you land on the front wheel and bounce every time try 40% flaps
hallo54521 2 years ago
Thanks buddy
Mazza4Azza 2 years ago
no offense try a f16 and dont bounce on landing it wasnt perfect but okay for a beginer. BTW you stop slower with no flaps dont know why but it is.

You will be, dont worry
Mazza4Azza 2 years ago
No problem :-)
Mazza4Azza 2 years ago
Yeah I have some
If you have a good approach, good speed and a good altitude, your guaranteed to have a good landing, also tilt the nose up slightly just before touchdown, if you dont know when, just look at your altitude bar to the right. Tilt your nose up at about 20ft :)
