bro i just put a xtm 18 in mine, how did you make the differental gear fit. the gear on the engine doesnt match the original gear on the rc10, would it work if i buy the original gear for the xtm 18 or would it be too big

@SupraStringing11b what you need to do is loosen the engine bolts and move the engine forward or backwad to fit the gears. just make sure that the gears are not too tight against each other or u will strip the shit out of them. i have hardened steel gears in the differential and for my drive gear.

@UptownCarwashBoy i tryed that when i first put the xtm 18 in there, but the teeth dont match. its been sitting in my closet for a good year now. is there anything i can do? every time i take it to the local hobby store they try to sell a new engine on me -_-

@SupraStringing11b ok then try to use a smaller spur gear and clutch gear. i think that im using a 51, 52, 53, 55 or 56 tooth spur gear. and my clutch could be anywhere from 12-15 teeth. if that does not work then i would get a motor mount bracket and drill new holes in it to mount the engine to your needs. this would ensure the best match with the gears. when u do do some Reaserch and Development on the gear sizes. i cant remember off hand what my best config was. i have like 5 clutches

I have an old 2002 RC10GT. it's not so technologically sophisticated but its a tank, being on it's second motor after the first .15 got messed up from not being turned on in years :S along with all the other crap ive broken on it over the years lol i also noticed that yours has carbon fiber material on the frame, mines is pretty much all plastic

@kennyco wtf are you talking about. my gt would flip over backwards from the wheelies. whats why my engine is so messed up. plus i need it cause i drag it on a glue strip sometimes

it protects the cooling head from being bent or scratch when it rolls over.

@chuckycheese09 it does about 60mph (55 and some change). carbon fiber shock towers. RPM control arms and spindles. aluminum chassis. rpm reciever box. hardened steel spurgears and differential gers and som slick tires!!!!!!!!
