Speaking of Indian tech support, what a joke! Times I've called "Roger" or "Mary" in Bangalore, they just followed their script. Fact is many foreign engineers & "Professors" are great at regurgitation of basic theory, solving the same known equation over & over, BUT THEY HAVE NO PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE OR CREATIVITY. They're quite usless in industry. It's the culture, fascist BS and no emphasis on creativity that makes for no creative technology. Just look at what America invents and say India, Middle East, Indonesia? The Japanese clearly are leaders in electronics, but the Japanese aren't Indians/Arabs/Indonesian.

good point. Engineers from places like INDIA are STUBBORN and have ANGER PROBLEMS. If you tell an Indian engineer they're wrong (and they are) they'll argue, not listen. You can't understand them. We let an Indian engineer sit in the corner and do his "calculations". No one would talk to him. Other engineers just re-did his work. ENGINEERING IS ABOUT COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING TOGETHER. Foreign Engineers don't get that and have a 3rd World chip on their shoulder.

More importantly, they may have the academic theoretical understanding but little practical knowledge. They don't grow up like Americans who build things and develop creativity. I was a senior engineer for Boeing Space and defense till about 1993 when I left to go fly for the airlines. I know Indian & Russian engineers. They know theory, but can't design crap. That's why they teach.

Most of my Professors had experience in Industry such as: NASA, develop the MRI and other practical real world experience. The BEST professors are the ones with practical experience in the Industry, not just academic.

Look, the point is these guys published a huge series of quality lectures on various topics for free. I'm having an exam in electronics tomorrow, I've already watched 10 of these videos and this gentleman explains better than the doctor at my own uni, who still IS a pretty good teacher.

If his method doesn't suit you that's fine - just look for another source of information (perhaps an American one). I don't know about other Indian teachers, but this one - I find really helpful.
