Ozzy has the respect, but he just doesn't have the voice for it. He stumbles with the quiet anger that Lennon brought. This is too stiff and clumsy. Oz man respected this song, and didn't disgrace it, by any means, but it's not up to snuff with the Manson cover, and definitely not the classic original.

This is typical Oz style - it's good but not great. The closest to the gold standard original by Lennon is Green Day as it is respectful to the theme of the song but has a fresh rock vibe. Just my thoughts on the matter :-)

Manson's cover is like second rate karaoke sung by somebody who doesn't speak English and has memorized the sounds of some of the words. At least Ozzy is working class, unlike either Manson and Lennon, and Ozzy's version doesn't mangle the words. Well, as much.

It would be difficult to imagine how this song could be done better than the original.
