I really enjoyed this video, it made we want to buy this book. I looked in different stores that I just happened to walk by. But I was in Value Village, getting khakis for a temporary dead end job, when I saw something on the shelf.
Generation X
Douglas Coupland
.99
A real steal.
I'm loving this book, and when I'm done, I'll buy The Gum Thief. Mind you, I haven't read a book in years.
i'm sick of people like this on youtube and the internet. yeah let's criticise Douglas fucking Coupland. Are you retarded?
Who are you again? Oh right you're not a gigantic famous best selling author who also happens to be astonishing his ACTUAL peers in various different mediums of art with cutting edge ideas. Yeah.
These trailers really do an injustice to the books, imo. Except for the Bethany staples clip, they appear very amateurly shot, and apologies to whoever did narration (even if it was Doug himself) but the delivery is lifeless; it's not even intentionally dry. Coupland novels seem reminiscent of Zach Braff's performance in Garden State... That's how I would have shot these.
i just read this book a month or two ago.
LOVE IT!

I don't really understand what's going on here, is it based on a book and this is only part of it? Seems kind of surreal.

i love the 'viral marketing' hit of 2,812...
i wonder how many of the 2,812 actually bought the book or were influenced by the above 'viral'.
utube is becoming a saturated medium...
