@ankitpasi1 It sounds way better than an i touch. It's more of an audiophile oriented player than an entertainment platform such as the i touch. You cannot compare two different product types
@ankitpasi1 what you just said makes no sense at all. This is an audiophile mp3 player. The DAC chips and amplifier in this mp3 player stomps all over most available mp3 player (except the HIFman 801 which costs $800.00). The UI does suck the big one btw and it does have some other bugs which should have been addressed before release. It is not perfect but the audio is amazing on this player. If you are mainly concerned with audio quality this is a great investment. Good IEM's are needed BTW.
can u do an updated review? im deciding between this and an ipod touch, im leening toward the ipod touch, but if u do an updated review i might get this one
S:Flo seems to be bugged as hell, thats why they dont sell it anymore. (Also goes by the name Teclast T50). You can already buy the S:Flo 2 from some hong kong shops (Teclast T51) but it also has a bunch of bugs.
I really want to get one of them but i think i'd rather wait and see if they fix the bugs.
With screen on on max brightness, audio payback would probably be 4-5 hrs.
MicroSD-Slot consumes power, internal amplifier consumes power, two Wolfson dacs consume a lot of power, 3.5" means that the screen area is about 2.3 times as much as with a 2.4" screen (which is def. enough for an Audio player, like proven by Meizu m6 etc.) and will consume much power (if on).
If the battery capacity isn't like doubled, I'd only consider this with a Meizu battery pack and many AA-batteries.
Why would you have the screen constantly on while listening to music, do you really want to see the album art all the time, haha. If your using the screen from time to time, but primarily using it for audio you will probably still get about a good 8hrs on playtime.
I bought a Nationite OS-81 from MP4Nation and it's great, except for some aspects of the user interface. I might pick this up too, DEPENDING ON HOW LONG THE BATTERY LIFE IS.
I saw that their previous players were rebranded Teclast players, BUT they revamped/refined the user interface. But it sounds like their also trying to make changes to the hardware. This video said they are trying to get a higher resolution screen for this player.
very unlikely to get video out & FM transmitter. transmitter would drop battery time even more, and both would require hardware revisions that aren't likely to be changed so close to final release
How come you guys don't sell this anymore?

Pretty amazing!
Three drawbacks: big screen which can be damaged easily in pocket. Too big to have a mobile as well in the pocket. 10hours working with one charge.
Yet, it's an AWESOME product with FANTASTIC audio quality.

Can this be used as an outboard DAC for a PC/Laptop too?

too bad it doesn't work with windows 7...wanted to buy it.

Too expensive. Since it lacks most features of the ipod touch alternative, it should be dirt cheap compared to it... :p

touch screen looks very unresponsive. i so want to buy this. i have an ipod touch 2g 16gb, and i would prefer this to it if its firmware is reliable.

I always turn the screen on; my comment was a reply to AfricanMadman. The 6 hours were an estimation before I had seen the specs (10hrs).

Brainy1422 2 years ago
just buy an ipod touch 2g or a meizu M6 SL.
I have both, they are the best players on the market, there is nothing better. S:flo was crap.

Aren't all of these "Nationite bla" just Teclast with a different name and branding?

Yup, however, this time The nationite version might have some differences (like the better screen).... We dont know yet though
