it's not that it's deep, he actually has a higher pitched voice than most black guys, he's just really chill and relaxed all the time so there's this vibration when he talks. my voice gets like that when I'm relaxed

I totally agree. Cab Driver was one of the first songs i learnt as a kid on the guitar from this spanish dude who used to come round. But what the fuck is he lying there for, in a quasi-intimate setting beside a log fire, expounding on good and evil and God and Love. Stick to writing good songs with irrelevant lyrics.
