i have seen and pet a wild raccoon in mid day, and i dont have rabies, and i know what you may be thinking "thats not smart" quite honestly i dont care, animals dont hurt me, and no im not just saying that as a teenagers scense of invincibility, i have pet a wild deer, 2 raccoons, 1 shrew, and 3 rabbits.

a raccoon, or other nocturnal animals for that matter, out during the day means, almost definitely, that it has rabies. congrats for still begin alive :D

Ya! It was the 1st thing I thought about when I saw it. I watched it for quite a while before I coughed to let it know I was near - it didn't actually see me until it was up a tree - then and only then did I pass. I was actually quite a distance from it as well.

Great video again, Barfsoup! Beatiful subject. I did not know racoons dig in search of insects...but I do not know racoons at all.
