Just imagine if this game was on an engine that could support large-scale battles, like the Total War engine or somesuch. With no limit to the amount of units available on-field at one time, it could very well win Game of the Decade.

Man, this is so classical, I was so young when I first played this game.

Now games are all based on online Multiplayer, nobody cares for PC ONLY treasures such as this nowadays. I was plenty happy thwarting Gargarensis 1000 times over with Arkantos......

Greek vs Greek mythic units, doesnt really make sense. The god is Kronos the evil giant. In Greek mythology hes the god of time i think i may be wrong though. Looks like Arkantos and Atlanta? i forget her name (the ghost)

'Father of Time' is Chronos- a different Titan. Cronos may possibly translated to 'horned' which has something to do with an Indian devil.

@MachiavellianHeir Not sure what you're replying to; just wanted to say that the developers of Age of Mythology and its expansion didn't know this, so as far as their stories are concerned, they're the same Titan.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the distinction has only been made recently. I recall reading Bullfinch and other mythological writings, but I don't remember there being a recognized difference between Zeus's father and the god of time. Which isn't to say that that distinction

Today's games are nice too but some 'oldies' are just ... I don't know, just they will always be as good as they were in those old days.

I remember playing online, or doing the single player story..the gameplay is just really good, just like AoE II although I prefer AoM over AoE :P
