  • wooooooooooh this is like the vines... amazing stuff, just discovered them 3 minuttes ago :)

  • trent may be a tool, but he does have good taste in music

  • the singer has marfan syndrome so thats why hes real skinny

  • It's really hard to latch onto Deerhunter just hearing one or a few songs at a time. Watching a whole live set brings out all the dynamics they can work with. They can go from very ambient and tripy to all out roll around on the stage rock and roll. Not the best of the best, but better than a lot of stuff out there.

  • Check out their whole concert at 'Noise Pop', you may change your mind.... I just saw them the other night and I'm pretty sure I got sucked into another dimension and my face melted off. Much more creative than the Black Keys (who I also like, but Deerhunter have so many more dimensions to them than BK)

  • This is reminiscent of the 70s/80s post-punk band "The Fall" and Mark E Smith. If you like this, which I think is farkin great, you'll also like The Fall. Perverted by Language is a great album. A sample tune called Cruiser's Creek,

  • Death Cab, Phish, emo and hippy used as comparisons/descriptors for Deerhunter's sound (insert cringe)?! Wtf? What band were you listening to? Deerhunter and Atlas Sound are amazing. Bradford Cox is a really talented dude.

  • Deerhunter is already a legendary band. Really love them. I wish I could have been at this performance.

I have seen them twice - at Criminal Records and the Variety Playhouse. I will see them again with NIN - but I HATE NIN! I will likely leave after DH's set, which is sure to be glorious.

  • Yeah, I don't get them as the opening band, either. I mean, I'll sit through them since it's Trent's choice. That's cool. I just am not really into this Death Cab For Cutie meats stoner Phish-ish emo meets trippy-hippie stuff. But that's just me.

  • absolutely right. this does not fit in with NIN at all

  • Bradford and Trent are both excellent producers...not to mention song writers. If you over look the genre chasm, you could see why they opened for them. Aside from everything, a NIN tour is good exposure for Deerhunter. I'm glad I got to see them both.

  • @Cronjob

You don't understand their sound at all do you? Jam band emo WTF!? Not even close.

  • nice, nice, nice

  • This stuff is Awesome. Discovered while looking for "The Deer Hunter"...

    Maaaaan, this is trancendant.

  • Opening for NIN!??? Trent, What The Fuck!!

  • good music bad recording

  • are there no drums here?

  • they are there. you just have to listen.

  • goddam, that's a skinny dude.

  • he has a genetic thing. very cool band. I love to see/hear creative stuff like this. My bet is we will be seeing them soon on connan/letterman/SNL just give em time

  • @axisofthewheel Your prediction is slowly coming true. They were on Conan not too long ago and Letterman just a few days ago! Would be amazing if they made it to SNL!

  • jah bless deerhunter.

  • the boys know how to lay it down. horrah for derrhuntah.
