i was watching the news and they said something about the sleeping pill AMBEIN helping people with brain damage have the ability to talk and eat... just wanted to throw that out there!

I just read about hyperbaric chamber treatments in Canada that seem to have helped some people with TBI. Also, I have been studying a raw diet and oxygen therapy. Apparently the body wants to heal itself and if you give a body raw food / fruit, veggie, seeds, nuts, then the body has what it needs to repair. I am not read up on brain injuries, but that couldn't hurt, right? Is she able to eat or is she fed through a tube? What is her diet like right now? I hope she is doing well.
Katie, I am so proud of you! your improvements are incredible!!. i'm also touched deeply by your family. they remind me of my oldest sister. she's been my care giver, my #1 cheerleader & advocate that does NOT take NO for an answer! . I do NOT know what i would do without her. I've been injured for 16yrs and i've made some amazing improvements over the years. In no way is my injury anything close to yours but DO NOT give up the fight!! TEAM KATIE ALL THE WAY!!!
@burnit01 I know what you mean but Katie has come on in leaps and bounds, she can touch her own face and reach out to her dad, there was a time she couldn't move at all..The improvements are there and each month brings more subtle improvements.

I know a kid at my school with brain damage just not this bad... he walks and talks.... he is just very angry all the time and weird..
