  • Are you happy with the single speed?

  • A word of caution to people seeing the 20 in the name for 20" wide. This still has a fairly-big 208cc engine in it. Be careful if seeing other smaller ones and thinking they'll work just as well. Some small models have small engines. They may look cute, but there's a high chance of regret when using it.

  • If i were his neighbour i would be pissed off!!!

Blowing the snow right on his doorstep! why?

  • @katanaben1

I was thinking the same thing...what an ass. ....

  • Unfortunately that doesn't hold up to the reality of the warranty claims. But whatever floats your boat.

  • why is mine moving by itself??

  • Yes, the 20" is smaller but the good news is the engine size is the same making it a strong machine. Yes, only one gear, but no gear box to worry about 10 years down the road. Hopefully it will last a long time and i wont need one for a while. After last winter i dont feel like using my little paddle blower anymore although I'll keep it around until i see how this one works out. I can now wait for the entire storm to finish before going out instead of going out 4 or 5 times for one storm. lol

  • And I agree with the guy about pulling it too hard. You're going to break the recoil doing that. You should never hear it go "TING" when you pull it. If you hear that sound, you've pulled it WAY too far. You don't have to be so aggressive. Calm down lol.

  • It's a great value. Anyone who says the engine isn't good, doesn't know anything about LCT engines (they're definitely better than tecumseh and as good or better than briggs and stratton. Just look at the warranty claims and reviews). The body is an ariens, so anyone who says it's not as good a quality as their other snowblowers, doesn't know anything about the manufacturing process.

    It's a great snowblower!

  • @vindactive Quite simply, not true. LCT engines are not better than Briggs and Stratton engines, not by a long shot. Cheap flimsy carb linkages on LCT engines are nothing compared to the robust design of Briggs carbs and linkages. LCT's have metal gas tanks which rust when gas sits in them during periods of non use....Briggs uses plastic fuel tanks, much better design. The Briggs engine on my snowblower is extremely robust....it'll be running long after your LCT is in the trash bin!

  • Wow 1 I just saw u only have 1 fwd gear, holly crap. The 24 has like 6 fwd n 2 reverse speeds. Metal chute. I paid 649, free delivery.

  • I have the snotek 24, I don't know why u have to yank on your pull cord so hard, maybe the engine was hot n u shut it down. I love my snow thrower. I don't feel it's anywhere near ariens quality, but it's serves my purpose, especially with these upstate snow storms

  • have you ever checked oil level on your blower? I just bought 24" model 920404, which has the same kind of engine. I found out there is no dipstick on oil cap and is hard to uscrew the cap since it's designed to be twisted clockwise only. just like cable ties- one way only. What a chinese joke

  • The LCT engines on these things are garbage. A friend has one and it threw a rod, which was later discovered to be caused by porosity in the connecting rod casting. I'd much rather have a Briggs engine on a snow blower any day.

  • that little guy throws the snow pretty good. :)

I got a compact 22', which might use the same engine.

Its got more options, but for an extra $150, I would hope so. ;)

  • God help you be rid of the Chinese curse!!
