  • wow that was awesome

  • This is great work, well done!

  • I like it vry much, this song is aweome, very well played. I missed a voice though...

  • Oh yeah, saaaaweet Guild too! sounds great.

  • NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! very unique adaptation of a classic. I think even Neil would approve....if he approves of anything these days. Thanks for sharing your skill with us here.

  • NICE!!!!!!

  • Man, you're freakin' amazing. I want to know where to find the tab to this one.

  • no such tabs. that guys is just that amazing

  • great sounding guitar

    sick shit

  • Song 12 on a scale of 10, piggy bank 2

  • that was awesome

  • wow, i am a big neil young fan, and this is a great version.

  • awesome job

  • DAMN! I'm sick of all the videos advertising "Neil Young - Old Man" NO! at least have the decency to write cover version or something that indicates it,s not Neil... nicely played though

  • Love this.

  • nice

  • awesome

  • this is a masterpiece but it would be so much better it it was a bit cleaner

  • Amazing.

  • no singing necessary here, amazing work!

  • I see you got the beautiful Guild guitar there. Those things almost play themselves. I have been lucky enough to play one of these guitars that dates back to the 60s and man its got to be one of the most beautiful instruments i have ever played, the highs were just singing to me. : )

  • Thanks, I like it too !

  • You're a damn talented player.

    And now I really want a 12-string...

  • im pretty sure this is a 6 string guitar

  • oh bugger, you're right. I was thinking of this guys other videos where he plays a 12-string. And this song, how he's playing it, how it's recorded it, just sounds so harmonic, has so much volume. I didn't even look at the head of the neck.

  • the best cover ive seen yet! itd be really helpful if you could put up a video from straight at you so we could see your fingers n such

  • perfect :D

  • I really like your playing, and I think your playing of the vocals on guitar is amazing.

To be honest though, I don't like the tone of that guitar, it sounds a bit metallic... That might just be because you are using fingerpicks..

  • Thanks !

I agree about the tone, but it's not because of the guitar or the use of fingerpicks, but because of the way it is recorded (tiny internal mic of a portable recorder + bad reverb)

  • I see, good to know.

My dad's got a '79 Yamaha. Really nice guitar.

  • I really admire your playing and it inspires me more as a musician. Good job

  • Thank you, much appreciated.

  • WOW! I was waiting for you to sing, but the guitar sang for you.....Nice Job Buddy!

  • Amazing dude you are blessed

  • this is amazing. he is sooo good. no one can play it like this. no one kows how to pick it right. like this. he is soooo good

  • I love vintage guilds. I own 5 guitars with my guild being my favorite by far. Is that a D25? Sweet sound

  • Yes, it's a late 1979 D25. It's like an old friend to me.

  • I have the same guitar (handed over to me by my dad) I believe mine to be late 70s as well. Everyone that ever hears this guitar is always amazed by its sound

  • There is a very good website where you can find out the exact year of built of your Guild based on the serial nr. Google "dating your Guild guitar".

  • Nice. Thanks for that.

  • dude thts so sweet

  • that was really something man, amazing. im trying to learn just the original song right now. i love to do some of the stuff that you do, like in alot of chili peppers, the guitar doesnt really fill it in so you add some notes from the vocals and bass and it sounds more instrumental. again, amazing!

  • Thanks ! Beware of some Old Man lessons on YouTube... some look good but are plain wrong.

  • haha ace, i love it

  • Thanks.

  • amazing

  • Absolument merveilleux. Ca c'est la grande classe d'un fan de Neil Young.

  • could you do a video of you playing this slow and at a good view.

  • Maybe I will do a new version with tabs, but I must find the time.

  • take your time.

  • I loved this version!! You played it in a thre finger style. do you play the banjo too?

  • Thanks ! No I don't play the banjo... actually in this piece I hardly use my middle finger, it's mostly just thumb and index finger.

  • Hey could you help me out I want to learn your version of the song. Every year at my school we have a little talent show and I want to play your song. If I win I'll post the ideo on you tube.

    Please help me out!!!

  • I'd like to help you, but I don't know how... there is a lot to explain. What I did was to take a Neil Young songbook (Guitar Anthology Series), and add the vocal part to the guitar part. Mostly I stay within the chords as Neil Young plays them (except in the chorus).

  • wow..man. thats really great. you're a top notch guitar player..you should at least be doing session work with your talent, if not more. good job

  • Yeah, I also got a Guild D25M (1977). Bought it new that time and I'm still playing this guitar. Very nice sound. I also play a Martin HD-28. I like the music from Neil Young and you play it well. Please hear our Youtube version from the song "Long May You Run" (Stills/Young Band) Search for "Ssensual2".

    Nice work!

  • I also have been playing a D25 for the last thirty years and about a year ago I added the HD28 for more Neil sounding..See my Change Your Mind

  • that's awesome

  • best of them all!

  • That's awesome! I'm a beginner and I just learned to play that song as one of my first guitar songs. That sounded not only exatly like the live version guitar-wise, but also the melody was perfect. Keep up the good work!

  • wow so gooood !!!

  • Wow you are a talented man.. Must have took a while to put all that together, melody with the chords.. I did a version of this song too. If you want to check it out just click my username or paste: watch?v=BXT3Co0AFlk

  • Hey man, this is seriously amazing. Very impressive that you managed to write a guitar part for the vocals to accompany the regular guitar part. Is there anyway you could send a tab of this to me or post it somewhere?

  • Thanks ! Sorry, I don't have a tab for this piece.

  • I own that guitar I think, Is it a D25M?

Its a beautiful sounding guitar one of my favorites

  • It's a 1979 D25 (spruce top, not mahogany). I like it a lot too, but this recording doesn't really do it justice.

  • I have the same 1979 D25...where they all in cherry?

  • They must have made loads of these at the time, they keep popping up on Ebay etc. I've seen some in sunburst, black and natural too.

  • good stuff bro
