@mealexxx Well, an FM transmitter usually has at least a drop in volume compared to a hardwire connection. I've compared a cassette tape-deck adapter vs an fm transmitter and the tape deck has better quality & volume.

But, the Zune transmitter is really good quality, so you should hear the benefits of 320 kb/s.

the zune HD av dock turns it into a pocketnsized apple tv...and this car pack just seems to kick ass without any help from 100,000 apps (99,000 of which are a waste of HD space and data usage used to get it onto your device)

Wow, good riddance Microsoft Zune Team. I support you by getting the Zune HD. I do have iPhone 3GS and Zune HD really need App Store to able to get more market shares. I know Microsoft is not trying to compete with iPod Touch, but I guess we'll see how well you are going to integrate it to xbox live when most people are using iTunes.

Sounds a little bit last-century to me.

Why not connect it directly, show the song/artist/playlist on the display of the stereo, and use the controls on the steeringwheel to control the thing ?
