lame ... what a letdown you didn't show the target. whats the point of showing a shooting comp without showing how well he was doing. i really like it but really wanted to see the target.
This video obviously shows why the Krag was chosen as the standard infantry rifle during the Spanish-American War: smooth action, snappy but controllable recoil, and quick reloads under stress.
Here in Norway there are many old Krags on the market. Its not a problem to get very nice original krags for about 2000-3000 Norwegian kroner(350-450 USD)
Hmh,i dont know if its easy to get carbine stocks here in Norway, because many of the rifles are sporterised, and therefore the stocks have been changed. But if you want i can try to find a ad for you here in Norway, and send a translation to you if you want.
krag is the best rifle for fast shooting. but it is different types of krag. like:land krag or recriut krag and there is one more. norwegian krag has a different type of sights.
Thank you for this video. I've got an 1896 carbine in issued condition that I'm afraid to shoot, so this is as close as I'll get. Fun to watch him top off the magazine.

If I'm ever in Norway or Sweden I'm looking for the carbine versions of both of their bolt-action military rifles. And extra Swedish Carbine stocks!

Are you worried about damaging the rifle? Ammo available from lots of places. I've shot a doe with mine.

Great to see the old guns being used...

I think we area all shooting various Privi-Partizan or commercial ammo. Nobody doing much fancy loading for a Krag.

By the way what load do yo use ??.
