  • flinty, demon rockaz & pj & smiley tore the roof off the o2 arena when they dropped this little beauty @ EPIDEMIK 2 weeks ago.....that 'dearly beloved we are gathered here to bring you this thing called life' intro....with the bleeps & when that bassline hits.......*goosebumps!!!!* ;) true pioneers of breakbeat/hardcore/dnb/jungle.....suad came up with genius but simple idea to speed up a classic hip hop/funk break to a house tempo.....obviously it never caught on or no one copied them....looool

  • google serch this link for a wikid selection of these tunes wiv full tracklist soundcloud/a-t-9/special-dedication-mix-2 0.1,SHUT UP AND DANCE " £20 2 GET IN" 02, SHUT UP AND DANCE "HOOLIGAN 69" 0.3, DNA "SERENISSIMA" 04, BUG KHANN & THE PLASTIC JAM "MADE IN 2 MINS" 05, N-JOY "MANIC " 06, M.I.C "OBE1" 07, MI7 "NO CONTEST" 08, SHUT UP AND DANCE "5678" 09, N.JOY "TECHNO GANGSTA" 10, FRANK DE WOLF "NO 1 TAPE"

  • tuunnneeee !!!!!!!

  • 1989 yea boi.............

  • The good stuff was always the good stuff & good stuff will always be the good stuff.

  • @DanielBowden1975 Amen brother!!!

  • sometimes i listen to tunes from back in the day and i remember badass tunes but now they sound kinda like they was made on a tape to tape deck. still classic and can't be taken away from what they made witch was the best music era of all time

  • They don't make music like they used to!! :-)

  • When you hear the bleeps, you KNOW that rolling bassline's coming!!

Shivers up the spine, good times indeed.

We knew how special it was back then and we weren't wrong, or maybe we just did a lot of drugs?! :)

  • @MrLeeds74 Yes, another one of the Tootos crowd, nice one MrL.

  • these guys are playing live at earthquake on the 25th june message me for details

  • oh man, makes me want to let go

  • Kool FM was hot. Deman & Flinty, man like Cool Hand Flex, they did live mixing and emceeing on the airwaves with nuff DJ's and MC's- like a rave in the studio being broadcasted to the massives in north and east London-always first to play the jungle tunes like this one, and the hardstep too. Who remembers those days?

  • I went to a 100of clubs by the early 90's.

The f*ckin Eclipse was the Don there for a good 18 months.

    Lazer Eagle

  • I remember these dayz like they were only yesterday, what a buzz it was to be about in those days of The Ragga Twins, Shut Up & Dance.... they should bring it all back mainstream...Combatdal I agree totally that someone should buy a warehouse and start up the rave scene again... and keep all the kidz off the streets.. that's a great idea... I mean i was a bit of a hell raiser in my younger days myself but i still had respect and morals and i was no where near as bad as the youth of today...

  • I remember the late and great John Peel playing the Ragga Twins album all the time on his show. Happy daze :)

  • the most underated record label around, putting out there the some of the most banging tunes for the streets

  • can any one send me these tunes or tunes from that era jst being allowed to be my self now afer a long relationship just want to be my self as i was let me know peeps

  • 5 dislikes? gotta be people with hard of hearing issues, in my opinion started another step in the the ladder of music, break beat at its best.

  • Ragga Twins dabout! - Influential early tunes - Long Live Pressure FM

  • I got goose pimples. Deon and Flinty killed it on Unity Sound, then smashed it with shut up an dance. Truley the bollox

  • damn. I haven't heard this in a bout 18 years. My m8's older brother was into anarcho-punk but got into dance in 92. We rinsed this smoking clean morrocan hash and dancing like maniacs. Nobody could stop a jiveing to this. Epix Classix

  • 'This is hooligan 69.. And all who want to jump, jump up! And all who want to spread out, spread out......'

Ha ha, said it before but used to go to this club near Colchester Essex in the early 90's called Tootos, absolutely wicked place, and people used to literally run to the dancefloor when they heard the Prince intro. Mental times, but so friendly back then.. This is proper rave/hardcore.. Shout out to the old Tootos crowd...

  • @alskif100 Tootos...in Frating. Oh yeah Raver!.... I was there with my possee of caners. Oscars too. And many many more big and small all over da place. Big UPS to you, the other old school ravers and the DJs who check this track...you all gave me the time of my life.... I would not be the person I am today had I not had been right there in the thick of it dancing, grinning, giving out sweaty hugs....Nice 1...HWND...Peace out.

  • @combatdal i feel ya on that

  • because rave never left us we are all still out there avin it out peace luv and unity

  • because rave never left us we are all still out there avin it out peace luv and unity bring on next year i belive its gonna be a belter

  • @combatdal It'd be shut down so fast... Plus the kids today wouldn't know what to do with themselves.

  • @TheUniversalScholar THINGS are only dead if you let them die my brother ,you have the power to choose what lives and dies. dont let this creator of music die my friend ...dont let this creator die........

  • @combatdal You just illustrated that the punk way of life will last forever. You know I realised about a month ago that rave is punk. If you think about it.

  • @Terrra91 Yeah, for sure. It's a shame some of those crusty punks don't see it and would prefer to conform to their "punk" image instead of breaking away and living those values. Rave breaks, jungle, reggae, punk, ska, soundclash dancehall for me all kick out the DIY vibe. Real people created this beat, not Syco / Simco.

  • @combatdal That would not work, as it would fill up with 30-50 year olds like us making shapes. LOL

  • @combatdal

    Oh yes!!!

  • @combatdal JUS PILLS AND NOT PILS, IF U KNOW WHAT I MEAN. IM 40, I WAS DARE THE FIRST TIME.PEACE.!!!

  • @combatdal Yeah, i remember being shouldr to shoulder with 2500 plus people back then and not see a single sad face, let alone a fight. Those who never experienced this for themselves will never know. Respect from the Newcastle Massive haha!!!

  • @combatdal cos the pills are shit :(

  • @combatdal Living between London and Macedonia these days but working on it over in Eastern Europe! Keeping the spirit alive!
