I just heard the album version and ran it through a music program which can detect noise and display it's volume and pitch. Kristy follows almost to a tee the album version. I don't think it was a sound error either.

A couple of years ago I posted my comment saying Kristy and Sarah don't always harmonize well. I couldn't think of a real good song to put them together as I know Sarah simply wouldn't be able to pull off Flower's like Kristy. Well I think they should do Sarah's early song called Ben's Song. I sing alot like Kristy and I was able to follow Sarah through all of it. They should reteam to give it a try.

Either way, Sarah's mic is in fact not on at the beginning, and the sound man DID screw this up. The mix isn't all that great for all instruments. The sound man at front of house could have easily pulled Kristy's volume down to compensate for her louder singing style. Also, I see no signals being given by her to bring up her monitor mix, so again-her fault Listen to the first chorus... she's horribly out of tune there and that has nothing to do with anything other than not hitting the note.

@evekta11 You can't blame a loud mic for somene being out of key, that's about the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Kristy IS in fact singing out of key several times. If anything, her monitor mix might be too low and she can't hear herself which could be causing her problem, not because her mic is is too loud. Either way... she is clearly out of key several times. Sarah has perfect pitch and I've never in my life heard her hit an off note... ever. Still, nice version with both singing

Both women do a beautiful job here. I think this could have been an interesting blend of voices with nice harmonies, but the microphone levels were way off. Somebody definitely screwed up somewhere. The singers and the band were a amazing, though.

She is who sings Silence in the tours of Delerium and the song remains precious as she same. Its voice has many shades, is very reich. @evekat11 The Blonde has a WHINY voice that sounds horrible and annoying! She smothers the mic with her mouth by grabbing it and holding it up to her mouth A LOT. Her mic was loud and she should have backed up from it, so she isn't drowning out Sarah, but instead she does the opposite! Hence I blame HER and not the sound guys for this discrepancy.

Sarah has not kept her vocals strong and it shows in this version of the song.

Kristy's vocals would perfectly harmonize with Sarah's if Sarah sang the song as it was recorded.

Don't blame Kristy for Sarah's weak vocals.

Again. I strongly recommend the studio version of the song. It is fantastic.

The song is excellent. The singing is nice. I have to agree with other posters that Sarah and Kristy are not always a good match. Kristy is better off with her fellow singer in NastyByte's video. Kristy is just a strong voice. I sing like her. Good at the bottom, phenominal at the top, pointless in the middle.

The studio version is fantastic. Sarah's vocals are MUCH higher and they harmonize very will together.

This version grows on you the more you watch it. But the album version has all the character of Sarah's solo lines plus the higher pitched harmonizing.

Kristy's vocals are pretty much exactly the same as the studio version.

So: The only album at which you will hear them both is Karma.

Kristy really is a great vocalist, its just their vocals differ soo much I think, and the quality of the video isnt good either. Have a listen to some tracks from her album "Souvenir" or some of her other works with Delerium, like "Flowers Become Screens".
