okay... 0:55, watch. he picks the 2 quarters up from the guys hands, and puts them back down. notice how he places them. he keeps 2 fingers firmly over the quarters. and he keeps them there until his hand is closed. at this point in time, there are now 4 quarters in the mans hand. as for the quarters in his hand, i am pretty sure they have special glove type deals you can wear that have skin tone, and he stuffs them in there. notice how he holds his hands after his quarters "dissappear."

I will bet you almost anything that the step from 0:52 to 0:57 was needed to make that trick work. He gave all the coins needed to the guy there and kinda placed them in his hand so you couldn't really see what was going on. The rest? Well, magicians have nimble fingers :)
