If it was intended to be in Kurdish, then it won't be as good in Turkish. The ethnicity of Turks are varying, they are originally from the people who live from Balkan to Kurdistan. The Mongols that Invaded Anatolia and Western Turkey 1000 years ago, how many were they, you think? Probably aroung 10.000 maximum. And these 10.000 Mongols settled down and mixed with the rest of todays Turks, this is shown in todays Turkish population, if you take a tour in Istanbul or Ankara, maybe you'll find only 10 or 50 people with Mongolic eyes! I'm not a racist, I'm comparing cultures. You can't sing a Kurdish song in Turkish without making it sound very different from the original. If it was intended to be in Kurdish, then it won't be as good in Turkish. The ethnicity of Turks are varying, they are originally from the people who live from Balkan to Kurdistan. Very few are "original" Turks, Mongols. Their cultures have all been put mixed, with more or less of this or that, and with a huge Islamic influence

I am not a racist person, and I am against to compare cultures that way. Most kurdish songs are being played with bağlama, a turkish instrument. It is not something bad, it makes cultures more wealthy. I prefer a mixture and wealthy culture to a pure blood routine culture. All these songs and languages are our heritage, non of them is superior to another. You know most arabesk singers are kurdish, conveying arabic islamic music to our music and culture. This must be our concern.

But even if they are one culture, you can see that people from Western Turkey, are a bit different from for example the Alevis in Eastern Turkey. The Alevis have their root in the Kurdish poupulation, and many people of Western Turkey have their roots in Greece. All are assimilated and most have forgotten their mothertounge, and instead speak Turkish.

I really wander who are creating those stories; just do not want to turn those comment sections into flame wars but western people are talking and the media making news about "Turkish girl married at the age of 10; Kurdish capital city of Diyarbakır; %90 of Turkish husbands beating their wives; or the Turkish Government exterminating Kurdish population. Just FYI people; those are "so called" lies to show us as the back minded barbarians. My suggestion to you all; just come see Istanbul.
