This trailer does not display how great this series actually was. TNT's highest rated and acclaimed series ever in that point in time. The action, writing, and acting were all very good. Despite her tendency to often get bad roles, Yancy Butler really shined in this series - had it gone on further (which it would have if she hadn't had an alcohol problem), she would have become a household name.

For all people bashing this TV movie and the TV show based on it:

1) 'Witchblade' was a TNT's TV show that aired from 2001 to 2002. It has nothing to do with your beloved anime and it came way before it.

2) The series purposely took a different direction from the original comic book, and, considering its limited budget, it was a really good action/drama/mystery show (in fact it had pretty strong ratings and a dedicated audience).

You should learn not to judge something you know nothing about.

Well, look at it as such. I agree with you, this can't exactly be bashed on because, if it weren't for the original, the Anime would've never came into existence. However, there were several key flaws in the TNT series, such as the lack of the Witchblades actual involvement. Keep in mind, this is all based on the fact that the series also lacked funding to perform and flash CGI, but the Witchblade only ever manifested as a sword, when it the anime and comic, it was a full suit.

As a Action/drama/mystery stand alone, this series was beautiful. But beside the Comic, where the Witchblade was a super-artifact that could transform the wielder into a weapon of death, this just paled in comparison. I need to say, the anime portrayed the Witchblade better, not because the story was superior or because the actress wasn't beautiful enough, but because, as an anime, it could do things a live action couldn't. Either way, thank you for uploading this.

I don't really mind adaptations, but as long if it follows the original story with some little changes. The movie Hannibal?
