I have tried to put lyrics to this piece for 30+ years and never have been able to adequately combine lyrics with the meaning that is so deep in every note.... I heard this in the late 80s at night in Chicago radio station WNUA 95.5 when I was about 11 or 12 and loved this...I always imagined myself dancing to this slowly the first dance with my husband at my reception. I first heard this song by Gato Barbieri on 109FM when a wonderfully knowledgeable DJ named Sandra MAllory hosted a show called Smooth Jazz Saturday night. She played beautiful, very poplar and well known smooth jazz music as well as played new music. She specifically mentioned all the artists on a song and some information about the artists. Sandra Mallory introduced me to sooth jazz and I owe her many thanks. If she reads tis it is fom Jim in Edgewood- a regular listener to her then and now!
