technically the china cymbal is the right way in the video, but you never want to play it like that. first, because it'll crack the cymbal, and two, because it'll screw your sticks up pretty fast.

i wont lie to you...the snare does suck....sure you can change the head and spend some time tuning it and that will help a bit. but eventually you'll need to get a new snare...i guess it really depends on how serious you are

depends on wat exactly ur looking for. the ZXTs are technicly a higher quality then the ZBTs but the ZBTs also produce a slitly brighter sound while the ZXTs produce a heavier "trashier" sound...as for the B8s i dont have much expirence with them. my suggestion is to just try them out for urself prior to buying them. it just depends on wat ur personal preferences are.

these are ZBT and the china is a ZXT both are still considered entry/intermediate level but after breaking them in they sound alot better then they did right out of the box.

hey bud i have the same esact kit.

the only thing i'd recremend is for you to make your 2 rack toms more flat. When i 1st got my kit i put my tops that way 2, but change it later. The toms are better flat because when u strike it, the stick hits the head properly (cant rly explain it)and the tom projects with more tone and fullness. but do it, you wont regret it. may take err about a week or so 2 adjust but you wont regret it hahaha

yes and no, u c more expensive pedals usually just have better "bounce" allowing faster kick patterns to be done more easily and they can be more reliable in the ways of durability. at the same time however, ur average bass pedal stills does a great job and once u've developed ur foot more there is no need for an expensive one. alot of famous drummers out there use less expensive ones so that they know that they r doin the work not the pedal. My suggestion is to just find one ur comfortable with

i got the shells and double pedal, and china cymbal from musicians friend. the heads from guitar center,and the rest of my cymbals i got through my instructor, but most of this stuff you can get at any big retailer (sam ash, guitar center, etc) if ur lucky u might be able to get it from a local retailer. the shells themself might be the only thing that could be a little harder to get a hold of. u'll probably have to go online if u want anything speific. over all cost myself around $800-900

the ZBT's r pretty nice. they have a nice sound to em and aren't expensive at all. the hi hat isn't my favorite but it gets the job done and doesn't sound "bad" just isnt the best. i still recommend them though, especially if ur on a budget.

I also have a ludwig Accent Combo, but I don't have the 13" tom set up and I replaced the snare with a Spaun acrylic. Your kit is still pretty good though. I like the ZBT ride cymbal.

Nice set up, I don't know how you can keep your toms up so high though, you must be tall. And do the Pulse double pedals work good for some stuff like A7X, because I play them a lot but I don't have my pedal anymore so I need a good cheap one. ya the snare it came with kinda does suck but i spent a while on it making the snares on the bottome tighter and puting in some mufflin (it actually doesn't sound to bad now). I do have another snare though that i prefer, but the head broke on it and i haven't had the chance to replace it yet =P
