  • Big Sigh, I agree this song is truly beautiful. It's beauty transcends language, although credit should be given to the translator

  • @TheAngryCockroach ah thanks

  • Soul music has nothing to do with color, and never will. This song for me is the very definition of soul.I appreciate all music genres regardless of the language barrier. The soul breaks all barriers one.

  • yo titularia esta cancion en español ¿porque tanta tortura? para mi le pondria este titulo por ser tan nostaljica

  • meiko should not sing this song, it's fatal.

  • so beautiful song...

  • Lady Snowblood <3

  • Beautiful track, beautiful movie sequence. I want to be involved in art like this someday.

  • Sore wa honto ni, Hattori Hanzo no Ken..

  • instead of someone's kindness, I do not care, I prefer their selfishness, my love

  • "That really was a Hattori Hanzo sword."

  • GOREGEOUS

  • Original title of the song "To krasaki tou tsou" DIORTHWSE TO REEEE

  • Γιάννη μου, ο Τάκης κι η Μαίρη.

  • Understanding the lyrics would ruin the entire authenticity and style of the scene in the film. Lol. I just listen to it 'cause it's a good tune. Turns out that the Japs aren't just capable of the dreaded Tokyo pop. All that '70s and '80s Japanese Sonic rock and roll was actually pretty good. I mean, that's what Battle Without Honor or Humanity basically was....

  • @Transformers2themax No not at all really understanding Kanto wouldnt ruin the scene at all, Tarantino choose thing song as a tribute to the movie that Kill Bill really was based on. Forgot the name but its about a woman who lost her family to the Yakuza and seeks out vengeance, which is what the lyrics is literally talking about, her running away/getting revenge at the Yakuza. So you can see the similarity in both movies, BOTH about vegeance.

  • @ForceRcnMarine No, I know about Lady Snowblood and everything and how Kill Bill is somewhat inspired by it--I just don't want to know the lyrics. The fact that it's in Japanese just makes it feel more authentic and as if it really is paying homage to Lady Snowblood. Oh, I know all about that. I just feel like lyrics can sometimes ruin the scene for me.

  • @Transformers2themax ooooooooooooo, my bad thought you didnt know, well i guess thats your opinion i mean i feel like if you know Kanto or not its still has the same effect to me. But i kind of see where your going with that,

  • i can not understand it, but if i could it would be not so nice as it is now :D

  • The 50 dislikes are from the Crazy 88.

  • it´s really a good song, for the ending from Kill Bill Part 1

  • wheres the sub?

  • @rajifusama Press "CC" by the side of the video.

  • Japanese isn't easy, well done. :)

  • figured it out :)

  • am i the only one that isn't seeing any subtitles at all?

  • Hey Ratzkii, i am not Japanese, but is the translation for second half of vid correct? The first half seems to stay with the theme of the song, but second half seem to drift. Its as if you had included lyrics from an different song for the second half. I check out an different vid with english sub and only the first half of your translation is their, the second half is different.

  • @stupidjoker2 It's correct, just not by a word by word translation. But it still captures the meaning.

  • that really was a Hatori Hanzo sword

  • Watching this on screen, after the Bride's duel with O-ren, gives me the chills. Fucking love this film!!!!

  • Play this on a snowy evening with your wife by your side...enchant the night...

  • This sample reminds me a lot Nujabes, the harmony of music, the melody! tremendous song and rest in peace Nujabes, genius.

  • I'd like to learn Japanese too, but I don't really need it to appreciate the beauty of a song like this one. Thanks for the subtitles, though.

  • I want this song to play when I get my scalp chopped off by a katana.

  • KILL BILL... FUCK YEA

  • Yeah, QT definitely knows how to pick good music for his films. I'd never heard of Meiko before the Kill Bill movies, but I got into her. She has lots of great songs, not just this one. "Jeans Blues" is another particularly great one. They're hard to remember the names of because they're almost always in Japanese, but people should check them out. Her voice is awesome. This is actually probably my least favorite after hearing a bunch of her stuff.

  • Great song!

  • ah the flowers and it thorns..

  • @animegalc4

    Yes, exactly: "wut".

    Wut?

  • @UnitedPebbles WUTTTTTTT

  • Masterstroke to have these Japanese songs in the film......along with the animae......gives this a distincly northern asian flavour to the whole thing.

  • Kocham

  • Prachtich!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Kocham ten utwor i to wykonanie. Ik hou van deze vrouw en haar liedje!

  • "το κρασάκι του τσου" χαχαχαχαχαχα

  • i don't even understand this but sill an amazing song

  • This song is originally from the movie "Lady Snowblood" which was one of the main inspirations for Kill Bill

  • Comment removed

  • "silly caucasian girl likes to play with samurai swords"

  • @painshroom Nah mate, just pointing out that you're a spack.

  • @painshroom The quote from the film is 'Samurai swords' you stupid wanker. As i was quoting the film, I used the term taken precisely from the film. Retard.

  • que buena vos la cancion es exelente

  • beautiful...*.*

  • ESTA CANCION ES TAN RELAJANTE....

  • This song is the theme song for a movie called Lady Snowblood circa 1973. This lady has been singing for a while now and I think her voice is even better now. The other one "Urami Bushi" or Grudge Melody lit. is also used in Kill Bill and was also part of the aforementioned film, wich is quite good actually, and she is the main actress of the film. This is why I love Tarantino's movies because I can relate.

  • When i heard this song my friend played , i was playing Red Dead Redemption and right after the song played i shot a zombie in the head i was like BOOM HEADSHOT! and the song just expressed the feeling of doing headshot <3

  • Begrieving snow falls in the dead morning

Stray dog's howls and the footsteops of Geta pierce the air

I walk with the weight of the Milky Way on my shoulders

But an umbrella that holds onto the darkness is all there is.

I'm a woman who walks at the brink of life and death

Who's emptied my tears many moons ago.

All the compassion tears and dreams

The snowy nights and tomorrow hold no meaning

I've immersed my body in the river of venegance

  • @reccaomega wow geez that is really good poem or watever it is

  • @reccaomega What a perfect song for the movie! I assume those were some of the lyrics to it - I never knew they were about revenge.

  • @reccaomega ....Word.

  • @reccaomega That's deep.

  • @reccaomega is that the english lyrics of the song?

  • very very nice and emotional song

  • i want this playing if i win at a sword fight. :D

  • Tear that bitch apart!!

  • emo

  • can someone translate this song?

  • @arbagic Search for the lyrics on google, most pages have a translation

  • @rctsos It's not just a katana. It's a Hattori Hanzō katana.

  • @rctsos It's not just a katana. It's a Hattori Hanzō.

  • actually this song cames from the movie "Lady Snowblood" i don't konw unitl i saw a review on internet

  • best song ever

  • no 1 understand the song but u can feel the sense

  • guess what o ren....it was a real hatorii hanzo sword *chukles while she plummets to the ground*

  • nice song i rly like it :3

  • oh memoriess...(flashback of seeing o-rens brain)

  • Dattebayo!! nee chan!

  • QT ripped this from LadySnowBlood.

  • Am I really? I don't see where you even get the idea that Hatori Hanzo was based on a real swords smith...

  • @christiandiaz Then maybe do a bit o' actual research.

  • @MiniNovaX

send me a link please cause it's impossible to research some fictional idea thought up by you.

  • @christiandiaz It's called google, use it. Once you learn to actually use it, you win over 9000 interwebz.

  • @MiniNovaX

I have googled hatori hanzo several times which is why I know that he based it off the Hatori Hanzo from Shadow warriors, not some real Japanese swordmaker. You don't have to get mad or try to say witty things. Just be an intellectual, especially if you're trying to argue against something. With all due respect.

  • @christiandiaz I'm not getting mad or trying to make up witty things, I'm simply stating, learn to properly use it. He IS based off of a person who once existed back in the time of the samurai & ninja happenings, whos name was Hattori Hanzo, also known as Masashige, or Devil Hanzo, son of Hattori Yasunaga.

  • @MiniNovaX but from my fast research, i haven't found any clue of him being a swordsmith =3

  • @huney921 Did I say that exactly? Nope. Before you decide to get involved in someone elses argument, learn to read, k babe? Thanks.

  • thats only great!

  • I am sorry, because even I did it...

BUT THE 45 PPL COMMENTS ARE KIND OF ANNOYING NOW...

(BTW, look at some pictures of North Korea, and if you play it along with this song it's sooo cool lol :)

  • RZA!!!!

  • Το κρασάκι του Τσου!! ♥

  • I was just 10 when I saw this movie for the first time, and I particularly remember the fight between Black Mamba and Cottonmouth :)

  • @termometen Who the fuck lets their 10 year old watch Kill Bill?!
