The second movie might have been a lot more appocaliptical than what it was needed but plotwise, it's so much better than the other two. Seriously, I'm talking about the obvious plotholes on movie one and how it was absolutely a no-brainer, nothing like the comic or the animated series. And the acting sucked. At least in the second movie we had a bit more of the nerdiness of Peter Parker and the plot was complex enough that I didn't have to worry about Spiderman's sucky acting.

@TheSNK1986 So many people loved Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man and he was perfect. Topher Grace as Venom was not bad but he was still nominated as the best villain for Spider-Man 3. Some of the pictures of Topher Grace with the symbiote and showing his face on the plus side like in that scene where he says "I like being bad; it makes me happy" is what gave the film the dark atmosphere including the symbiote mainly and Topher Grace's zombie-look is what made Eddie Brock as Venom scary.

#1 - venom was not the venom the marvel fans all know and love. Marvel fans once knew him as a buff character to begin with, especially with eddie brock.
#2 - Harry's death. I felt like face palming right there and then.
#3 - Why is it that the movie was focused on sandman, and the storyline was based on venom? Sandman ends up not being the bad guy way too fast....

It really wasn't Sam Raimi's fault that "Spider-Man 3" falling apart. Sam Raimi is a true "Spider-Man" Fan. The new movies don't have to be "just like the comics" or it'd be too predictable. I'm giving Marc Webb and Andrew Garfield a chance, but I doubt it'll be as good as Sam Raimi's first 2 movies. But that's your opinion.

I totally agree especially with the Gwen Stacey thing. I'm writing a script for the 6 reboot movies (well, movie 6 in two parts) and Mary Jane appears only once in the first movie script, to give Peter a hug after Uncle Ben's death but that's it. 2nd movie when Gwen dies Mary Jane comforts Peter and they become close. :)

I like Sam Raimi, his first 2 "Spider-Man" movies were great. The third movie has it's flaws, but it was pretty good. Sam Raimi is a good Director and a true "Spider-Man" Fan. It seems you have yet to see some of his other films like "The Evil Dead Series", "Drag Me to Hell", and "Darkman". Please review one of these movies sometime.
yeah i agree but i say bring marry jane into the first movie but peter wont have much to do with up until gwen stacy gets killed so then peter and m.j. get closer and then develop a proper relation ship by about the 3rd movie so its more similar to the comic books

@TheSNK1986 Yes Eddie Brock was a bodybuilder and not skinny but out of the entire Spider-Man 3 movie, that was the only issue I had but I didn't care, I just wanted Sam Raimi to direct the next sequel to Spider-Man 2 and hope to be good and hope for more sequels. That is what a true fan does. Spider-Man does whine in the trilogy but who gives a crap? A lot of people don't and yes he was a wisecracker and the only two scenes he wisecracks is in the bank in SM2 and the burning flat fight in SM.

Raimi knows more about Spider-Man than Webb (not the other way round) and he should have been the director and that now Webb is directing the reboot, I'm pissed in general because Webb was only a fan of SM and the Ultimate comics and Raimi was a fan of Spider-Man entirely and this leads to so many paths. Okay, I'm going to be totally honest. I think Spiderman needs a reboot. Not saying the original was bad but I think audiences deserve tosee Spidey in a new light. I'm glad they're sticking to the comics more, and I like the guy playing Peter Parker. And don't get me started with Emma Ston- she is probably one of the greatest actresses right now. I like the idea of a reboot and hope it gets big and isn't another "Scott Pilgrim" at the box office. Movies this good seem to be wasted. :) Good luck!

as soon as i saw the action part of spiderman 3 all the way to the end, i was so disappointed.
#1 - venom was not the venom the marvel fans all know and love. Marvel fans once knew him as a buff character to begin with, especially with eddie brock.
#2 - Harry's death. I felt like face palming right there and then.
#3 - Why is it that the movie was focused on sandman, and the storyline was based on venom? Sandman ends up not being the bad guy way too fast....

Raimi Gave us Evil Dead and I give him Props for it.. Spider-Man one was good but started to fall apart in the 2nd movie.. 3rd movie Venom or No Venom it would have sucked either way.

It really wasn't Sam Raimi's fault that "Spider-Man 3" falling apart. Sam Raimi is a true "Spider-Man" Fan. The new movies don't have to be "just like the comics" or it'd be too predictable. I'm giving Marc Webb and Andrew Garfield a chance, but I doubt it'll be as good as Sam Raimi's first 2 movies. But that's your opinion.

Dude, you need to chill. Sam Raimi made spider-man his own just like every other super hero director. It cant be straight from the comics or its too predictable. By the way your facts on the vultress are unconfirmed. The reason he was kicked was because he wanted John Malchovich to play the vulture and not bring lizard into the picture until the final film. Andrew Garfield has now been confirmed to play the new Peter Parker.

I totally agree especially with the Gwen Stacey thing. I'm writing a script for the 6 reboot movies (well, movie 6 in two parts) and Mary Jane appears only once in the first movie script, to give Peter a hug after Uncle Ben's death but that's it. 2nd movie when Gwen dies Mary Jane comforts Peter and they become close. :)

I like Sam Raimi, his first 2 "Spider-Man" movies were great. The third movie has it's flaws, but it was pretty good. Sam Raimi is a good Director and a true "Spider-Man" Fan. It seems you have yet to see some of his other films like "The Evil Dead Series", "Drag Me to Hell", and "Darkman". Please review one of these movies sometime.
