  • i used to ride bareback in a headcoller but nkow i ride with a saddle bridle and stuff i feel much safer and haven much more controll if your horse was too spook

  • oh! and u jerk his head way to much...u need 2 have light hands when riding a horse...u get into the bit wayy to much....

  • your horse doesnt like u and u really dont know what ur doing...did u not c his ears back when u were kicking him?? he needs a better rider riding him....

  • When i did my first canter bareback it was very bouncy and still is , i dont have an arena so i do it in a field or down the lane near my house so ye its very boucy ! xx

  • I cantered bareback 4 the first time last night! I was awesome!

  • what a bunch of smartasses whos writing here.........

  • @ZandraBson whatever..

  • @horserider2587 u are a fat tard! go to hell. The girl did well! Maybe u should learn how to ride a horse? idiot.

  • @ZandraBson well...i have been riding for years now...My dad's side of the family are natural riders...i get alot of traits from that side...if u knew anything u would c alot of things wrong here...im not talking about her riding directly...im talking about horse awareness....when the ears are back the horse is angry and annoyed...it isnt safe to mess with a angry horse....im just sayin...

  • you really need more riding lessons....i dont mean to make u mad...

  • do you not see his ears flat back at :40?!? gawd...

  • a feel tips...PUSH YOUR HEELS DOWN :) and when he does go KICK

  • try kicking instead of just squeezing and bouncing! and what was with all the jerking around of his head!? and it probably hurt because his withers are soo high!

  • wow!!! talk about a horrible first canter :()

  • @ShowJumperJazz i would like to see your first time cantering bareback, people do this thing, its called learning

  • @justjumpthejumppony

i know. its however clear ur not doing that :)

  • @ShowJumperJazz way to be nice. >.<

  • i looooovvvvveeeee your horse!!

  • Such a pretty horse!

  • Hi, not being mean...just helping! But when you were trying to make him move try not to push with your butt and i know you were squeezing but give him a little kick. Although other than that you did good.

  • " should i smack his but for you " , haha , when he/she is not moving use your legs not just your bum :)

  • you did great balencing! But your supposed to only hold with your upper thighs not your lower and trie not to use the reigns very much1 but other then that you did great!!

  • @TheMollydog400 i thought were supposed to hold on with our calves? holding on with your thighs makes your lower legs move around alot.

  • @AnimeOrigamiable Nope not really just try it one day you`ll see! :)

  • @TheMollydog400 lol everytime i ride bareback i fall off! could this be why?! hahaha

  • @AnimeOrigamiable It prob is just try want i told you thats the way i ride when i ride bareback and i have alot more balence and have never fallen off! Let me know how it goes!? :) your a good rider just hold with your upper thighs cause when your holding whith your lowere part thats not giving you no grip and it`s like your telling the horse to go like your kicking him!

  • May i ask can anyone help me is it easier to learn to canter bareback or with tack coz bareback looks easier to sit to but im not sure x , Please can anyone help x

  • @GobbyGabby1234 sitting it bareback is easier, but you should become comfortable in your seat in the saddle before going bareback, because then in the saddle youll just pop around! hehe

  • @GobbyGabby1234 No, it's way harder since you don't have stirrups.

  • @GobbyGabby1234 I was taught to ride bare back. Once I was okay at bareback my aunt let me ride with a saddle. Riding bareback developes your muscles and balance, and makes you a better rider. If I hadn't started out bareback I wouldn't be as good of a rider as I am today. Riding bareback is harder than riding with a saddle, mainly because of the stirrups(in my opinion anyway) I ride western, so I don't really know if that makes a difference in your question. lol

  • @TheFutureVet101 what i used to do with my pony is put the stipputs long so you still have balace but if you like to do it bareback then it is your way , i find it eaiser to canter bareback now because when i first started cantering with tack i would bounce like 10000m of the saddle

  • pretty horse :)

  • lol, "do you want me to smack his butt for you?" I almost died laughing! XD

  • just scoot up a little

  • XD It looked better than when I cantered bareback for the first time. Well, to me it did. My mom told me I was great, but my horse is really responsive to my cues. Like when you pulled your horse's head all the way around, all I'd have to do is put a little leg into her and she'd respond. But your horse is bigger than mine - WAY BIGGER - so you were probably more terrified than me. Missy is 14.1 hh, so it's not a long way down, lol. You did great.

  • Very nice and good job !! i just wanna say i feel so proud when i see horsemanship like that and how u don`t use a bit and u being gentle with ur horse !! and for those who are laughing about being gentle and nice i can say all what you talk about is B S :)

You don`t have to listen to any 1 spend more time with your horse and try to understand his response and you will learn everything . again good job keep it up :)

  • hahaha not being rude but the way you used to get him to go.... no. Gently squeeze with your calves and gently nudge with your heels. and make sure your moving before you try to turn hahahah

  • really good! I'm not being nasty or critical but next time I would recommen using your legs aan not your body, also if I was you I wouldn't turn his head like that. Also horses respond very well to your voice. Like I said I'm not trying to be nasty but good job! :D

  • GEEZ talk about about ABUSE!!!!! learn to not use the reins as much! god use ur legs woman! iits not that hard get some lessons...

  • WHOA did u see its ears when she started trotting? im suprised it didnt try to get her off of it

  • K, You dont freakin hump the horse to death just to make it go, its called lightly squezzing your legs !!!!!!!!

  • nice! love your horse!

  • i canterd for my first time bareback on my horse

    plz go check it out

  • Oh & I LOVE your horses tail & mane! What kind of horse is he? Please check out my channle and watch, comment, & rate on my videos please!?

  • Geesh she wasn't wearing a bit, it looked like a hackamore to me! So it didn't hurt him when she pulled his head like that. I thought she did great for her first cantering lesson. I think I'm a year late commenting haha, but GREAT JOB!!! Hehe it does hurt when you trot or canter on a horse bareback.(:

  • Surely I'm not the only one here who thinks that this horse's tail is fucking awesome.

  • i know how painful fast barebackriding is you get used to it quick if you do it often and you have alot of ice :)

  • HAHA ."Can I smack his butt for you?" Maybe relax and kiss to him..then he'll feel free to walk forward, and gradually move fast..Its both a balance thing for you and your horse :)

  • I just wanna say that you are my inspiration

  • @Roxy4ever71 awww

  • @amazingcasper see my vids i uploded

  • that would be my pony but he would be eating grass

  • use your legs more it looked really uncomfortable for the horse when you pulled his head that far to the side but anyway great canter it was good for your first canter

  • You should really stop yanking on her mouth and kicking her. that tells the horse to stop so.... yeah

  • have you ever ridden before?

  • @Teddie120

I know right! SHe should stop pulling so much if she wants the horse to go! Gosh im surprised the hrose didnt buck her off

  • ok so your saying you dont want to hurt him...but your pulling on his face way too much. just use your legs...it wont hurt him, and he wont 'hate' you

  • First when u canter u kick with ur outside leg not inside for whoever said tht,Second u kiss :) I know the right way.

  • bleh in my opinion i would just ignore the advice. its been what...two years since u posted this video? haha and for ur first time, that was fine. u were probably nervous as crap and forgot a few hthings such as heels which is ok!

  • hah your horse is really pretty! Just one thing, you should always keep your heels down, and don't point your toes. And instead of gripping with your calves, keep light constant pressure, and use your thighs. It hurts, but you warm up to it (: And it looks like he had trouble starting out the first few seconds, maybe carry a crop?

  • My instructor told me when i started to canter bareback is to lean back. After a while of getting use to his movements bring yourself forward, and if you fall off balence again just lean back. This helped for me, so i thought i would suggest it. You did very well though for your first time :P

  • HIS MOUTH!!!! you dont turn a horses head that way, he cant move properly with his head that bent!!!! jesus christ!!!

Btw....your horse is COMPLETELY stunning, his tail is so cool!!! And that was quite good for a first canter, but OMG PLEAAAAAASE!!!!! dont turn his head that way xxx

  • That kind of grossed me out....

  • Chill everyone. Stop critisizing. She didn't ask to be told how to ride and she did a good job, no need to be so rude.

  • Ok. Kick is to go. Start there. Watch my video called me and buddy bareback and learn.

  • is there any need to be nasty. this little girl did really well, it is hard riding bareback! ecspecially cantering & trotting. what would her parents think if they saw all this? there is no piont, keep unwanted and pathetic opinions to yourselfs! sad sad people.

  • horse sexual assult LMAO Lessons

  • chill people it was her first time

  • I'm no expert, but that horse body language was that of frustration.

  • Why are you moving your seat and not pressing your calves against him to get him moving? If you move your butt he doesn't go forward..

  • Careful love, you'll give yourself a rash. You seem to me to be an ignorant, spoilt little girl. People keep trying to give you friendly advice and you're just being rude.

  • i'll laugh if you break a bone one day when your horse loses it and throws you off and steps on you

  • @twincreek101 oooooooo....u sound like a cutter, im sorry ur life sucks

  • @amazingcasper yeah you wish *****

  • @amazingcasper I am sorry about all these rude lifeless people. Everyone makes mistakes, and since you are able to canter bareback without falling off, that says something.

  • @amazingcasper Good job :) You stayed on pretty good! Just kick your horse a little harder and you'll be good!

  • @twincreek101 why are you being such a bitch? that was unessessary.

  • @horsecrazy098 DO YOU NOT F****** UNDERSTAND THAT SHE CAN"T RIDE!?!?!?

  • @twincreek101 yes i understand. she is obviously a begginer. give her a break. everyone has to start somewhere. ok, maybe her efforts in trying to make it go are a little awkward, but its not like you have ever had trouble or were confused with any thing! she is not hurting the horse,so stop being so mean!

  • @horsecrazy098 BEGGINER?!? SHE IS WAY BELOW THAT!!!

  • @twincreek101 lmao u realy hve no life now do u? thas too bad

  • @twincreek101 well, concidering the fact that she could canter bareback without falling off, i would say that she was begginer.

  • dont listen to these morons, they are all covering up their own incompetence. you did fine, everyone must start somewhere. your horse is in good condition and you had fun....any true horsey person would recognise that. they are just picking cos they are jealous of your horse.

  • Comment removed

  • ugh you cant ride, go get some lessons

  • this person doesnt know squat

  • um try kicking him if you want him to move...and dont pull his head round so much

  • Why did you hump the horse?

  • hah "Can I smack his butt for you??"

  • bahaha interesting.

use your legs to make it go, not your body like that, that was really weird ahahaha. and you dont have to turn its head like that, you should use your body to turn a horse, not the reins. other than that youve got a good seat pretty much, just need some lessons but hey so do we all.

  • @xxxxxPippinxxxxx i have a cow horse horse that i have been training for 1 or 2 yearsso she has a soft mouth and so its really easy to move her with my body and legs. and i agree with the whole she has a good seat and needs lessons:)

  • @xxxxxPippinxxxxx i totally agree! i was gonna give advice, but i was like, nah, if i say anything she is just gonna cuss me out or something. :)

  • @hunterjumper9799 haha nooo i only cuzz out peple that over exagerate there "advise" plus this was 2 years ago and i already kno wat i did wron, and ive been hearing the "Advise" for 2years streight now,it gets tireing

  • @amazingcasper kk i understand. i have a vid up of me cantering at this barn from a year ago pretty much and they yell at me to get the horse out of the arena and im like i cant! i have no control of a horse that isnt mine! lol anyways....

  • @xxxxxPippinxxxxx wow ur the first to finaly notice its been 2 YEARSSSS!! wow thank god someone noticed

  • You did wonderful for your first time. As for the morons throwing a fit about you "humping" the horse, I see no harm. No, it's not proper, but the horse wasn't harmed. It's better than the jerks who kick the holy crap out of their horse, now isn't it?

  • I think your horse is gorgeous.. I really love love love paints like so much, I would kill to have one :) haha I want a black and white one, I call them cow horses haha

  • u shouldent ride,

    but if u do,

    learn first k?

  • i did my first bareback canter yesturday, OUCH!

  • wowow. dont fucking hump the horse. all u dois give it a kick or squeeze with ur feert and tell him too go . and dont turn the horses hear like that if hes not even moving yet. go get some lessons

  • @mikeycat8 hey bitch u do u =]

  • @amazingcasper i sort of agree but then i dont. like yea when u ask them to go moving in that way doesn't do any thing but nice job on ur first time.

  • @mikeycat8 uh yeah do do turn their face cause it dislodges their front feet so they move! you idiot, she did what she was supposed to,

  • @CaseyHorses not really. she should have asked with her feet and calves before turning its head. and you dont need to turn the head like that. when my horse bracces i only try and move the front feet sideways abit..

  • @tuyry1 theres lots of things she should've done but commenting on her video wont change the video now will it. any "damnage" that was done is done whineing about it wont change it. people need to chill alittle it was her first time. . also wtf is bracces ?

  • @CaseyHorses i know.. but still i know its a video but w/e its from 2008. its better than my first time cantering bareback i was just noting on how she asked it to walk forwards. and "bracces" shouldve been "braces" like when they lock their legs and dont want to go forward. you only have to turn their head abit and ask them to move sideways to get them forward. not having her horses head at her hips. just saying

  • @tuyry1 just saying, shut up no one cares anymore

  • @CaseyHorses exactly. and i was just putting in my opinoin. get a sense of humour

  • @tuyry1 i do have a sense of humour, but im sick of youtube people thinking they know everything

  • @CaseyHorses i know i dont know everything and im sick of people telling me what to do and what to say, sheeeesh..

  • @tuyry1 k seriously shut up

  • @CaseyHorses no you, all i did was state my opinoin and you went off on a rampage, so shut up, and im not commenting anymore cause ur not worht it

  • @tuyry1 i thought you went commenting cause you pressing post is commenting exactly YOU ARE WORTH NOTHING. and your opinion is your own, you should just lean when to keep it too youself. bye bye that mean no reply :]

  • @mikeycat8 people have different techniques for riding. like for me, when cantering, i squeeze the inside leg, make a kissy sound and say canter or ya! People are not all like you, you know...

  • @mikeycat8 LOL

  • you shouldn't wiggle like that when you want your horse to move forward. i know it seems like it would help, but it just confuses your horse. =)

  • cantering bareback is soooo much funn hahaha

  • wow ur retardeddd...give the horse a fricken kick instead of hump it!!! duhh....

  • no affence and all but at the begging it was so funny when he wouldnt go lol but u did awesome for the first time cantering bareback

  • Learn to properly kick a horse.Not hump.=|

  • You have to get after your horse...how is he supposed to go when you are not telling him to go? You have to kick him.

  • Why is everyone so obsessed with sex nowadays? She was practicing the movement!

  • haha.. gorgeous horse! took a while to get him to move never mind canter! well done.:')

  • Hey, I think you shoud try kicking a little and that may help but you sat it really well and you were really soft with your hands x

  • she needs to kick the horse not slide on its back

  • looks like you were humping that horse to get it going :P

  • No wonder you couldnt get anywhere your meant to KICK & Squeeze not... do what you were !

  • ur humbing it

  • gorgeous horse

  • what the hell you doing use your legs and squezze or kick not freaking hump the poor thing !!

  • jesus christ.

all these people acting like complete experts!

let the people in the videos do their own thing. it's not like they're getting a huge schooling whip and whacking their horse. that would be abuse, and still wouldn't require you to step in with your stupid advice and expertise, it would be a police case.

    in other words: stfu.

  • Gosh u anit got much ov a relastionship wid ya horse have ya. it really dont listen 2 ya when u want it 2 go forward

  • @PonylPonyGirl

it is her FIRST time Jess!!

Jesus your so pathetic, its funny ..

Really good ride btw :) xx

  • @MJBhorses right, well look at my first time then.

  • @PonylPonyGirl i don't care about your first time tbh!

and if your being mean to her then you are being mean to jade tbh, she can't get jasper going without a whip, and the girl on tha vid don't have a whip! so watch your mouth x

  • @MJBhorses ooooooo im scared, what ya gonna do. you dont even know me. and if you met me in real life i wud be alot diffrent. nd you started all this ya know. and no im not bein horried to jade. sometimes i couldnt get holly goin with out a whip. and half the time i didnt have one but she still went.

  • @PonylPonyGirl what you would be a scardy cat :L

    who is Holly??

and i don't even careee tbh

your getting on my nerves now :D

    nd it wasn't a threat

  • @MJBhorses no i wouldnt. she is a 13hh pony i used to ride when learning to jump.

  • haha i have a walker so it feels like a rocking horse to me =) lol good job

  • your hors ehas a beautiful tail and lovely markings

  • ... i love my horses ( i own 4 and love them to death) but i eat steak. wtf? hahahaha nice video too!!

  • You need to kick now gently pus! kick!

  • you did good for your first time. i think tht when he wasnt moving though, maybe you should have kicked him instead tho instead of squeezing. but it depends on the horse. i havent cantered bare bk so idk.

  • what does bareback cantering feel like?

  • pretty smooth but kinda slippery

  • @amazingcasper well it depends on the horse

  • @amazingcasper Guess what I finally rode bareback and trotted so much fun!

  • @amazingcasper Yeah, You just wanna make her not to slide forword onto the withers

  • @HorseRider4507 amazing [= its a lot more fun then in the saddle and smoother too! but you have to use more leg

  • 0:14-0:26 hahahahaha great job though

  • ... I love cantering bareback on Prince!

    Great vid :)

    x

  • ok ima a veggie but i dont get what that has to do with the video? all u stupid people commenting and arguing over nothing. just stop. its pointless and a waist of everyones time..... great video btw!

  • i kno!!! i dnt get y the veggies and carnivores r fighting on this random ass video..

  • i think we should all take a breather i am a veggie but that is my choice if people don't want they don't have to but it is there choice!

  • what are we fighting about ? i am a veggie too ?

  • lol wtf does it matter if u eat meat or not! ok? you do realize that most of the animals in the wild kill other animals for food that is why they are called preditors and animals like cows are the prey... humans are preditors, we grown cows to be slaughtered, im a vegitarian as well but not because i think it is cruel, i did at a young age and i stopped eating meat but now i dont think that, its just a habbit so i keep it up ;) u can eat whatever you want and be an animal lover

  • Omg people. Give her a break. Just leave her alone. FIRST bareback ok. it was only her first time and different people take different ways of learning. She doesn't deserve all this crud your throwing at her. I think she did a fab job for her first time and seeing as it was two years ago go and look at some more recent videos because its just unfair to insult her only something that was ages ago. Geez just go easy.

I think you did a great job and you have a beautiful horse :)

  • finalyy sumone gets me =]

  • hey its fine :) dont worry you were great, ive riding bareback so many times and its still hard for me :) you were really good for your first bareback canter

  • u need to stop scooting u look like ur humping ur saddle if you want him to go apply little pressure and say walk or walk on

  • at keast she wasnt booting hell out of his sides like most riders would have =) i agree tho it does look wrong

  • Great job hun. Don't worry about what some of these mean bitches are saying, I was the exact same way when I started riding bareback. But I practiced alot and now I hardly need a saddle. I suggest that you get a bareback pad and just start practicing a trot at first until you get more balance. Then whe you feel more comfortable and have more balance you can try cantering. Good luck hunny!

  • haha thanks buts its been2yrs since this and ima pro now,but thanks!

  • wow ur amazing. i tried to canter bareback oncew and i fell ofdf and broke my tailbone. so now i'm terrified to do it again. idk wat to do.. should i just try? or use a bareback pad??????

  • nothing wrong w/ using a bareback pad the frst few times,so u can get use to it,and learn how to balance more comfterbly, cuz w/out it is kinda slippery, then go ahead and try it w/out

  • your ment to kick and nudge the horse!!! not hump it!

  • Yeah I thought that to. You can see by the horse's posture and the way he's looking round that he doesnt know what she wants him to do. You normally kick gently with your heels or squeeze with your calf muscles. Not hump them!

  • "Not hump them" come one now, obviously this girl is still learning how to ride, why don't you try not being a bitch it and give her some non-rude advice.

  • Shows what you know bitch!

If youre learning to ride than you should have an instructer with you that tells how to get the horse to walk on. I never "humped" a horse like this when I was learning because I knew from the start.

Your full of crap, go educate yourself because you obviously know shit.

  • lmao ur a crazy bitch

  • right back at you bitch.

  • y the hell would u favore my video? stay off my videos CUNT
