I'm glad Muse does it for someone. But it just seems like a very over-produced, fake, douche-baggy kind of a band. All their songs are grasping attempts at "concept rock" etc. and they just ... feel totally forced, but don't actually achieve it. The lyrics are contrived.

Thank God it's not just me that feels that way. To me they're just a 2nd rate imitation of Queen and Ultravox (Midge Ure era). Those bands did what they did brilliantly and were very unique and innovative, while Muse simply copy.

@TengeraMusic Mercury has more range than Matt in falsetto, but of course it's not so refined. Look up Under Pressure, around mid-song he hits a long G5 then an A5 (higher than Showbiz).

@cpriicorn I believe Matt hits more or less the same note in Micro cuts (the highest I've heard him sing to my knowledge). I think Mercury's falsetto is actually more refined, and he has a more naturally powerful voice, but I think Matt's voice has possibly more character and has more emotional content. Possibly down to the type of music they're both singing.
