i dont have anything against lesbians but its so much easier for lesbians to say im gay than it is for men. people arnt really bothered if its lesbians but why is it so hard for gay men?
@stubru16 It might be because girls are more sympathetic and understanding than the masculine boys. It does seem to be that way and until society fully accepts it then I can't see it changing to be honest.
07:55. You Sir are a true Manchester City fan. More obsessed with United blah blah blah. And the man at 07:30, he probably had a bad experience with a gay person or he's gay himself.
Everybody's equal.
I would never object to a gay footballer. They just want to play football, get money and have a decent life. Good luck to ya, whomever you are.
@deniro999 It's not about having MORE rights, it's about EQUALITY. Of course it doesn't fucking exist, and unfortunately the disabled are an unlistened to community. Life's unfair, but it doesn't mean we have to accept it. If you care, show that you care.
WOMEN AND GAY PEOPLE GET A DISPROPORTIONATE AMOUNT OF SYMPATHY AND ATTENTION. HOW MANY DISABLED MPS ARE THERE? IVE ONLY EVER SEEN 1 WHEELCHAIR IN PARLIAMENT IS THAT [ROPORTIONAL TO THE COUNTRY? CAN YOU EVEN GET WHEELCHAIRS IN MOST BUILDINGS? CHURCHES OF ALL PLACES DONT EVEN HAVE DISABLED ACCESS IN MOST PLACES. WHAT % OF DISABLED PEOPLE HAVE JOB OPPORTUNITIES? A TINY %. IM SICK TO DEATH OF WOMEN MOANING THEY NOW HAVE MORE RIGHTS THAN MEN TIME TO LOOK AFTER THE OLD SICK AND DISABLED FAR BETTER
@deniro999 my church has a disabled acess and a lift. it has always been that way. most new church have it. i want to campaign for better rights for work and also accesablity.
Gareth, you are a great rugby player, a truly great rugby player, You annoyed the life out of me when you scored against Ireland ;-) But this, this is your best & bravest work, well done, I can't imagine the courage it took, I just can't . Superb work & if I can help just contact me via YT, OK? Good man
@glamourennui But hard economic times are often accompanied by a rise in violent crime. If nothing else, being unemployed with few prospects and time on your hands is an invitation to all kinds of mischief. Especially when you're young. There's truth to the cliché about "idle hands" and when people, particularly young men, are feeling powerless, they are more inclined to lash out at others. In part, to prove the dominance you mentioned.
he is not a hero. he was cheating on his wife with men and got caught. he then sold a book that revealed loads of personal things about his wife including her private mscarriage. he is no hero.
also I have only sympathy for the sick the weak and the disabled these are the people we should we talking about and helping. my dad cant even get his wheelchair into the town hall or the local church its shameful
I would like for them to do another experience-get 2 buff rugged gay guys dressed in rugby gear and let them walk down there while they were holding hands and see what happens
I also think that this "new" lashing out on gays is partly about the economic crisis. It is the same with hate crimes against immigrants. For some reason people need a scapegoat when their own lives are going bad and I guess minority groups are an easy target because we are not as protected under the law, and we are not completeley socially accepted yet.
I have to say that Youth culture over the last 10 years has become conservative uptight boring bland & feeds off the homophobic agenda - youth culture is controlled & led like sheep by the right-wing - when you see how the world is changing with mass unemployment lack of health care hunger extreme poverty education war & yet the single biggest issue for the majority of the world is gays having rights -
2:29 Fuck, When I heard her say 'Southampton' my heart skipped a beat... I was born and grew up there... worst thing I ever saw around there was a guy get run over by a car... and that was because he wanted to....
Players will always be 'tormented' by the fans of opposing teams!
As long as a player has the support of his family, friends, team and maybe even the support of the team's fans, it should be possible to be an openly gay professional sportsman.
Unfortunately, Justin Fashanu did not have the support of any of those.
But it is more than a decade later.
It would probably be better to first establish yourself as a useful / good player before coming out.
Geez, this is somewhat terrifying. The fight for gay rights is reaching a state of Mutually Assured Destruction. The more rights we secure the more society seems to resent us for it. The more victories we obtain the stronger our opposition becomes.
I'm a girl, and I think Gareth Thomas is fucking beautiful for being out. And ironically, he's one of the least "pretty" and most rugged-looking Rugby players in the League. So much for the stereotype that all gay men look metrosexual.
Rugby is probably the most gay-friendly sport out there, though. If a guy currently active in any other sport came out, his career would be pretty much over. It's great that most rugby fans that I know have the class to be accepting of Gareth.
No worries. Yeah it would be easier for more footballers to come out but I can't see it anytime soon. It must be hard for them to lead a double life though.
Thanks for putting these up! Some of those football fans made me sicks, all the gay footballers need one big coming out party, then what will the fans say!!
And i'm gay, but hearing " he's queer, he's bent, his arse is up for rent" made me chuckle :)
