@Jorell1000 That's the exhaust tube resonance. At 0:14, the low engine speed gives away the true geometry - sounds a bit lumpier.

Anyway, it is a large engine, even for a V12, but still keeps an only slightly under-square profile: 91.5 mm x 92.4 mm -> 608 cc per cylinder.

I bet they got pissed after seeing you hanging around their factory with a camera. I love the cinque with this exact paint job. I'm not a big fan of the other white with red stripe. But then again its a zonda, so it looks awesome in any color.

serious question.... I was at the factory in july 09.. the cinques were already being built - why would a prototype be needed.... unless this unit is being used to test the new model (c9) components - what worries me is that does not quite sound like a screeming V12 but more of a burbuling v8???? i know AMG have a fancy new v8's..... but a new pagani without V12? surly not??? anythoughts.... put my mind at rest...

That's not a V8; sounds just like an F CS or Cinque.

Sure I heard somewhere they'd be doing an 'entry' level car, to rival the Gallardo, new McLaren and Ferrari 458 (hence the new factory with larger production capacity), which may well have a V8, but the flagship should keep a V12 (AFAIK the 7.3 litre unit is now - or will be - discontinued, so they may use AMG's 6 litre, as in the Zonda R).

not sure about the entry level car but they are making a zonda replacement that will use the amg 6.0 twin turbo like the sl65 black. I just hope that wont spoil the v12 n/a grow and howl

@shinobistyle86 the twin turbo that is being built for the replacement will be bespoke to the Zonda, was reading that in ummm evo magazine I think it was. The V12 noise with 2 turbo's should sound pretty special.

this Zonda own to the factory, it is the second Zonda built and it is in costant update, it borned like a C12 with the 6.0 AMG and then all model except the Zonda R, now is a Zonda Cinque.

No it isn't, its real Cinque, coz look at air diffusor at the roof, only Cinque has this.
