Yea your exactly right. I dont mind its good money for i imagine it is for yall also. I got it pretty easy though in the county i work in we only have like a 2 mile stretch of interstate that runs through our county so the neighboring county takes care of it for us.

Wow laying off??? We hire a ton of equipment to plow each year...it's a desireable job. The company I am contracted through, recieved 50+ applications for ppl looking to drive a plow truck.

Really enjoyed the video. I use to work for the State of Texas and we would get a couple of days a year to drive the sanders. Really enjoyed that part of the job. Worked at night and didnt have as much traffic but, to no avail, still had the freakin' idiots out. Be safe out there and keep all 18 down.

tri-axle dump trucks require a CDL class B and I want to say 18 cause you don't leave the state....could be 21 though.

Don't have the time to plow residential and I prefer plowing the highways. I work 3 jobs in the winter months, so my plate is already full. Next year, I'm buying a truck and putting it on state. You make more money and there are so many guys plowing driveways that its too much of a pain in the ass to bid and all that. Always someone out there who will do it cheaper...

Yeah it is def good money and will be even better once I buy my own truck for plowing next season. Massachusetts is getting rid of the pickup trucks next year tho, they just cant clean much snow off the highway, they are good for the on/off ramps tho.

we have plow/sander combos out there too, they run at a different time then us. The usually get called out before us and stay after we leave.
