HD shooting my DPMS .308 RIFLE 150 YARDS not all the way sited in just poping off some rounds

I am confused, you missed a 10 inch plate at 150 yards?!. That is like 7 MOA. Wind isn't likely to have much of an effect at that short a range with a .308 cartridge. Was there something wrong with the rifle, bad ammo, anything that you think could explain the poor accuracy?

You need to invest in some real steel targets made of AR500 instead of that soft mild steel crap. It would save on your target backer as well, at least when you hit the steel anyway!!

I just ordered an LR-308 with 24" heavy barrel, if it does not shoot better then this it will go back to DPMS and I will ask for a refund. Hard to tell if its rifle or shooter though, will know soon......

I have a DPMS panther 308 that had problem ejecting. I sent it back and the prob was fixed. what different types of ammo do you use? Any probs with any? remember 7.62x39 and 308 are DIFFERENT calibers.

Awsome firearm. I just purchased an R-25 that I love and I also own the R-15VTR. I love them both. People forget that AR referrers to Armalite (not assault rifle) and that that label refers to the action not the specific rifle. Like DPMS Remington Colt... just base their rifles off of that AR platform. (like a generic term) For the most part you can even mix and match parts. I find that people busting balls usually dont own the rifle but they sure are an expert on yours. Enjoy your toy!

its a DPMS AR10

armalite makes the ar-10 and dpms makes the LR-308. they are different guns, they take totally different mags and are made to different specs. The armalite AR-10 is mil-spec and the dpms LR-308 is not. Both are "ar" style rifles and are great guns. I prefer the knights armament SR25 (M200 SASS).

Its a 308 Semi Auto Gas opt... do we need to split hairs about what its called. Dont break the guys balls the gun is pretty awsome. From a guy that owns a few guns, colt is over priced and so is armalite. You do know the AR was introduced because it was cheaper than its competition and easier to make so saying military spec doesnt get me off. (The M1 now that was a service rifle!) My R-15 is a retooled Bushmaster and my R-25 is a retooled DPMS. Check the comparisons then check how much I paid.

great vid! i have bench shot and sighted in all my rifles and found that if you do it at night it's way better. set or pace your range set up target and whip out the all mighty mag light prop it to shine on the target, and shoot.

thanks its a 10 inch round plate and its only 1/4 inch steel but it will go threw 1/2 also and on 3/4 inch it will goo almost all the way threw ill b maken more videos........once i get more rounds haha
