  • nice video!! You should include L1011 in the title so people will want to watch it more!!

  • Is this L-1011 video from the 70's or something? Thought only Guyana flies those.

  • what plane was that

  • @jetblueilikeful : It was an L-1011, N1731D.

  • I love Florida

  • and they did

  • there called the speed brakes and the captain probaly thought he didnt need them beacuse the approach and landing was slow enough

  • This is a fantastic video, but man, what a suburban shithole is Ft. Lauderdale and vicinity! Must be and awful place to live.

  • Best place to live. I've lived in TX, CA, WI, NY and NJ, nothing beats Fort Lauderdale, trust me. The only bad part is too many crimes these days.

  • Where is WI? That's the best state in the country - the nicest people and the cleanest air, the least crowding and the smallest number of rank assholes. The rest, I see your point. I know the Florida people are fine - but I cannot imagine living in a rat's maze like this - endless cookie-cutter suburban spirit-sapping awfulness as far as the eye can see. Like Alpharetta, or Arvada.

  • minnesota is wheres its at. and its even better now that we got Brett farve # 4

  • @pitcherkid14 Lol, too bad Farve sucks now.

  • How old is this video? That looks like an L-1011 wing.

  • lol wow. thanks alot, now im home sick.

  • Nice video.Thanks

  • This is awesome! I was only in Cooper City for a year then. Everything was not developed and before we had a corrupt mayor. And that is the BankAtlantic Center, known at the National Car Rental Center then.

  • Oh, never mind. I see that you said it was a Tristar. Cool ... nice video.

  • At 6:03 I can see the Publix shopping center at Griffin and University. What kind of plane was this, an Md-11?

  • wow i see my house in sunrise

  • at 1:02 that is the panthers areana

  • How old is this video?

  • August, 2000

  • Im no where close to being a panthers fan, but one question. Was that their arena at 1:02?

  • Yes.

  • What happen to the flaps at the far end of the wing? It didn't go up.

  • I'm not sure why....

  • @DWongster it probably wasn't needed

  • @DWongster the gremlin destroyed it :P

  • L-1011's are cool, but in my opinion it makes more sense to use an MD-88 or a 737 on this route

  • Depends on load factor. ATL has one of the highest O&D traffic in the world. Makes more sense if you have 400 people flying back and forth to FLL to do it with one L1011 versus 3 MD88's.

  • What airline?

  • Delta.

  • What type of plane?

  • hmmmm i think lockheed L1011...that might not be right.....

  • What year was this?

  • August 2000.

  • What a trip,595/old State road 84 and my old home out by Publix off st rd 84.Sure do miss Fla.Great clean video.

  • Thanks for posting and I didn't remember Delta flying the Tristars as late as 2000? Last time I flew on one was in '94 and they were quite old then.

  • Yeah, I think they flew the Tri-Star until 2001 or so.

  • yeah the last Delta Tristar was flown in June or July of 01.

  • Delta surprised the industry ordering the L-1011 instead of the DC-10 because they were a loyal McDonnell-Douglas customer. How come Delta ordered L-1011s instead of DC-10s?

  • cool, i saw my house too.

  • thanks

  • also wen did u record this video?

  • August 24, 2000.

  • I saw my house lmao nice video.

  • Thanks for posting your video. I miss those non-rev trips on Delta's greatest airplane: the Lockheed L-1011.

  • ili

  • what it a L1011
