Agreed, this sounds very similar to Frank Mills' "Music Box Dancer", which he wrote in 1974, but did not become popular until 1978. Can you put a date on this music box ? It would really be interesting if it was older than 1974.

@1xcalibur Found it at a yard sale but it does have JAPAN in raised letters on the bottom.
