he had his fun! Susuki came to him a few years ago and told him that they would pay him (5.2million) in advanced if he layed low key for a wile! why we dont know still. but ill tell you, hes coming back soon! IM NOT FAKE. John is my uncle.
Hopkins is the PREMIER wet weather conditions racer. I don't know if he just knows the conditions better than anyone else or he is just incredibly ballsy, but annihilates everyone when its wet out. Looking forward to more from him this year.
Nice collection of pics, Hopper rules... but you need to learn how to edit a little more when your using windows movie maker, just a little slower on the transitions. Add some tunes. Overall though thumbs up.
I am a fan... I live about 1 hour away from stockton. It is nice seeing him back in the AMA verses seeing him once a year in Laguna. He has really made his mom pround and most of all has lived his fathers dream that say alot for John and If I am not mistaken I think he just bought Jeff Emigs house but again I am just a fan.
Yea you should rent or buy the movie FASTER and FASTER. john started racing in the USA. so he knows some of the tracks here, the reason why he made the change is he was tired of being the top ten he wants a number 1 plate and he will get it in the AMA, not saying Zemke and some of the other US riders are good but hoppers hungry
And in hindsight... kawasaki turned out to be a disaster move for Hopkins.. first a stupid bike and then the next season they pull the plug and John is without a racespot in MotoGP. Nice going Kawa. I had high hopes for John in Superbikes this season.. to bad for those freaky accidents.. I was hoping to see you race in Assen. 2 bad for that one... And I saw the latest accident at the Nürburgring on tv... not one to watch again though. :s Get well soon John.. and back to your old form.

@jraybay the 500GP was the 2 stroke version of the motoGP bike they no longer runa 500cc 2 stroke it is all 800cc now. the year they switched you could run up to 999cc but they kept bring that number down due to the bikes going over 240MPH
@jraybay check out the movie Faster and Faster. this will give you and understanding on how he got to MOTOGP. of course he has been riding his whole life. but see that movie it will answer alot of questions for you
