  • That is great! I just got the Duo from the DSquared collection and I love it. I have been applying a mineralize blush [dainty] on afterwards. Is there a way to do this without ruining the lovely contour you have just created? Thanks again :-)

  • you are so amazing ! aaah so much help =D thank you so muchhh~~~~~

  • Hey just thought I'd let everyone know that the Sculpt and Shape duos are available now on the MAC website with the Dsquared collection.

  • omg i love all of your videos!!!

thank you so much for posting this! :)

  • BIG BIG Thanks! Koren,

as always, this clip is very much helpful!

  • FINALLY found a video for cheeks that pop

  • Hello Koren,

I am a NC42 in studio fix. What would suit my skin?

Thanks a zillion for your awesome videos!!!!

  • thanks!

    best shaper video !

  • HAHA! CUTE FACES!

  • You said you can only buy them as one color? How do I get both contour and the shimmer like you have? Oh and Im nc45 so what color would you recommend? Thanks Love you videos :-)

  • You make this look so easy! I can't wait to try this tomorrow when I get ready for the day.

  • AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME!

  • you're awesome! thanks! i truly needed this.. i have the chubby baby cheeks... so thanks!@!

  • Hi Enkore

I'm doing swapping and looking for the Shaper

what colour should i take in

    i'm a NW43

  • Hi koren reading the rest of the comments I found out that the sculpt and shape powders are limited edition... you mentioned I can buy them at a MAC PRO STORE. So can anyone buy there ? how can I find a mac pro store??? love your videos.

  • can I get the compact duo at any MAC STORE? I ´ve been looking at the web page and cant find it.

  • thannks!!!! learning lots from ur videos.....keep up the good work!!!!....

  • you r amazzzzing! Love your work!! xxxxx

  • you can get it at the cosmetic company stores

  • Enkore is so talented! :)

  • hi where i get this duo?

  • Hi Koren you are fantastic. I am NC15-20 and will buy the bone beige powder at my local pro store. Is it suitable to use Shroom eyeshadow on my cheeks as the highlighter powder rather than buying another product? Thanks so much

  • you are so amazing, i love your videos.. my dream is to let you do my make u p.. your so good at shaping , countoring and everything... oh i just wish someday you cold do my make up for my wedding. xoxo M* from sweden.

  • awe... thanks! :)

  • WOW!! My fat face looks much better now!!! thank you very much!!!

  • 2:29 lol ..very useful as always ..id always do the fish face but this works so much better =)

  • do they still have this sculpt n shape powder? i can't find it on the mac website

  • Nope its limited, but the full size are permanent at Pro Stores. Im sure the duos will make a come back, i hope.

  • Hi Encore! I love your videos, but it is making me kind of confused. Im about to buy new brushes and you have recommended different brushes for the same purpose. For instance when conturing the nose, you have one time said that you use the 217, another time you said the 275 and you have also said that you use the 225...So which one is the best for the nose conturing purpose?

And also, which one is the ultimate dramatic cheek conturing brush? 225 or 224?

    Thanks in advance :)

  • all those brushes are great for the contouring purpose -- You will have to base it on your facial feature. If you have a narrow nose, then the 225 will be too wide for you. then the 217 or 275 is more ideal.

  • 3:08 sooooooo cute :) lol

  • hey koren!

after doing the contouring to your cheeks, when and where would you put your blush? thanks!

  • you can place right at the apples of the cheeks and work towards the ear following the cheekbone. Place it so that you should still see the highlight above the cheekbone and the contour under the cheekbone.

  • hehe...smile and pucker!love it Koren!!! that is a better way!!! thanks for the tip!

  • You are just the most amazing make up artist on you tube to me!!! With so much make up... hehe I envy you!!!

  • I cannot you admitted to tanning! You know how badd that it! Please tell me you meant that you use self tanner....

  • He meant tanned as in thats his natural color like someone saying "oh i'm beige"... well he's tanned as in the tone :) i'm sure he's well aware of skin cancer related to electric tanners and such lol

  • you've got some amazing tips..

where have u been all my life?

  • I'm NW 25/30 which shade would you recommend for me to get?

  • i have a question... cus i have high cheek bones but i dont wanna hide them but i dont want them to look so big so how can i do this? using less darker shade? my face is round...mmm thanks!

  • hello i love ur videos!! u'r wonderful! and so nice also! very good make up artist!!

  • hey koren, amazing vid, i need your help, which blush would be best for contouring cheeks on pale skin, Blunt or Harmony ? i thought harmony looked abit too light but im not sure :S thanks! =]

  • hmmm i like harmony, but for pale skin, i find using Golden Bronzer is best.

  • I wish that these tutorials for this particular product would say which colors are the lightest & darkest by name. I'm fair skinned & recently bought Lightsweep/Shadester on ebay, thinking it would be light as the title made it sound, but it's too dark for me & can't use it. Without examples of the various shades available, it's difficult to know the right one to get.

  • I can only say: WOW...!

  • I know this is off topic, but who better to ask than you. When I apply my foundation and then my powder, I usually run my finger across my cheek and there is always the tint of the powder on my finger. Is that because I didn't buff the powder enough?

  • Give it time for the foundation to absorb the powder, then brush off the excess powder. After a minute or so.

  • can you depot the sculpt n shape compact into a blush palette?

  • Late answer but no, it's bigger than blushes.

  • thanks for the reply :D

  • Encore I just found this at CCO. I am in love with it. I think I might need a backup since I didnt know they were LE. I just want to say thanks for all your great videos.

  • hey koren! thanks so much for this! ive been wondering how to contour and highlight for the longest time! ur beautiful and i love your vids and your personality! : )

  • Hi Koren! I've been trying to look for this but I don't think Mac has it anymore. =[ Can you help me with this? I saw another tutorial and the girl did the same thing you did with the same looking MAC palette (2 toned) but she called it the Mineralize Skin Finish. I checked on the Mac site and it showed it only in one tone. =[ Please help..

  • yeah both the mineralized duo and the sculpt and shape duo are Limited Edition. Hoever you can still get Sculpt and Shape powders from a MAC Pro store, as it is a permanent pro line.

  • Hi Koren! In the tut, you say that we can use mat e/s in place of the Shaper Duo. But can we do it in reverse - using the Sculpting and Shaping powder as e/s? Thanks in advance! I'm so glad you're back regularly on YT! =D

  • yes absolutely!

  • Thank you!

  • can i do what u did..but with liquid foundation..why or why not?

Also, kind of on the same topic...i very rarely go out and invest in the professional tools (ie. brushes, products, etc), and i was wondering how big of a mistake that is. Is a Mac brush going to get me noticeably better results than a cheap one.

    thank a lot.

ps. i'm new to your videos and i just have to say that u are amazing...very knowledgeable, professional, clear, articulate, and entertaining. A hell, a gift from god :P

  • shouldnt u use the light shade first if ur using the same brush so it wont mix

  • i wich u can give my a makeover :)

  • Ok, do you need to use powder if you use that after you put on your foundation?

  • Hi Enkore! First and foremost, I just wanted to say that I love love love your videos! I just have a question. I am Filipino American and my skin tone is a little darker than yours. My foundation and powders are NC42. Would I still use the same sculpt and shape duo as you? Or would the sculpt & shape duo in lightsweep/shadester be better for my skin tone? Please help me! Thank you so much and please keep doing videos!

  • yeah, you will probably need the same shade I use.

  • Koren, you are so magnificent! I went and bought this today after I watched this tutorial. Thank you ;-)

  • Hey Koren, two questions - is 168 better or 169? Also, what sort of blush (if at all) should you use (cream, powder, etc.) after using Sculpt & Shape? Thanks so much!!

  • hehehe its funny pulling that face

  • whn u were like smile, and pucker... i did it too

so then i did it too

then my mom walked in and shes like WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

    hahahhahahhh

  • Thanks Koren!!^^

    Always sweet!!

    Thanks uuu!!!!

  • Hi Hanna!! Thanks for the tip!! But unfortunately we Doesnt have Mac Pro in Brasil..and i didnt found this item on ebay...

    SO SAD!

  • hey Yudina - you can definitely check out the new Mineralized SkinFinish NATURAL and there might be one that matches or close to it. I hope you have those in Brazil yet.

  • Hi Koren~~*

Hm..For my skin tone...I have to use a Bone beige sculpt and shape...BUT I just Want the dark side...Its That any powder or Blush That Is the same color???

    thanks for your attencion^^

  • they have a mac pro product that is the full size.

  • hey enkore! is angled brush the only suitable brush for contouring? is there any other that is suitable too? currently i use 150 and press it a little to make it thinner. :S

  • you can use any face brush really, and youre on the right track, by pinching the bristles. Face and Blush brushes works.

  • Hi! I loved your video! Your very helpful and very knowledgeable. I don't know if you mentioned this in your video but is the Sculpt & Shaper Duo from MAC? Because I coulnd't find any online...

  • hey grace - yes its from MAC - it was a limited edition. But the full size ones are available permanently in the PRO line. You can get those at any Pro Store.

  • OMG! I loved this! I've been wanting to learn how to achieve this look for my cheeks. Thank you!

  • I have been using this duo for months and love it. What brush (Mac and Lowe Cornell) do you like for contouring the nose?

  • i personally really like using either the 168 angled brush and the 225 blender brush for contouring the nose.

  • WOW!! thanks so much!! we are the same color=] i use those same ones too!!!

  • Thats amazing, I don't use MAC cosmetics, But I do use Benefit, I have Benefit - '10' Which is a bronze and highlight, Do you think I could use the same technique as you have here to get the same result with '10' instead of Sculpt and Shape?

  • hey Gemma - yes, definitely try the same way.

  • Accentuate is the lightest sculpt duo.. is it going to be too light for me? I just ordered it and Im fair skinned. Like, lighter then NC-30

  • hey Niky, Accentuate is the second lightest highlighter. I believe Emphasize is the lightest. Im an NC30, and Accentuate/Sculpt duo is the one that best suits me.

  • great tutorial!!! I really like your techniques.

BTW, do you the contouring technique before or after applying blush. thanks... kiss kiss

  • hey nongluckm - before you blush, blush should be like the finishing touch.

  • im totally buying the sculpt and shape and fix

    + this week !! =D thanks koren

  • Oooh! I like!! That looks really good :-)

  • Just to make it clear, my previous comment was directed at supamaryo...NOT ENKORE! I absolutely love Enkore and think he is just lovely :).

  • hey enkore.. i need ur help in choosing my color.. today i went to MAC n the sale assistant said that they no longer carry the sculpt and shape duo :((

so i checked it online.. they dont have the one called bone beige.. so which one should i choose? accentuate? lightsweep? or warm light? thank u so much ^^

  • hey Stefannie - Bone Beige in singles are available at the Pro Stores. Any way, whats your skin tone? What color foundation do you wear?

  • wow...you're a douche

  • ur a loser

  • Hey - great tutorial! Thanks!

Quick question - I'm an NC35 in winter and an NC37 - 40 in Summer...

The MAC MA sold me the Lightsweep/Shadester duo and I find it can look a little dirty...

Do you think the Scuplt/Accentuate duo will be better on my colouring?

  • yes, Sculpt/Accentuate would be better for your skin tone.

  • I love this look, reminds me Kim Kardashian's high cheekbones! Anyways I was wondering if you could use this with a bronzer or blush as well? Like to add a little color to your apples?

  • hey Katie - yes, absolutely! you can use bronzers and blushes.

  • Thank you soo much EnKore! I bought it today and i got the one you suggested. You inspired me to get this! And it looks great.

    -cheshire

  • Im very pale. I was wondering if i were to use this would it look too fake for my light skin?

  • hey Cheshire - nah, its actually pretty matte so the finish is natural. Just chose a tone that suits your skintone. If you're pale definite check out Bone Beige.

  • Hi Enkore~~* Its me again ^^v

Im SO SO SO SORRY but I made a Mistake..

Im NC 20..(^.^) Should I still use The Bone BEige or another one more darker??

  • hey yuna - yeah you will still fall in the bone beige tone.

  • Oh...And I use NC 15 ^^

    Thanks!

  • Hey Enkore~~*

    Hm...Im an asian..and i have yellow skintone...

What sculpt tone do u recomend??

    Ps: LOVE Your videos!!^^

  • hi Yuna - definitely go for the lightest, Bone Beige. If you want a bit more dimension, you can go for the next up.

  • Thanks for the great video... as usual!! I was wondering if you could tell me which is better to get of the contouring brushes the 168 or 169? I know the 168 is made of natural hair and the 169 is synthetic. But, which is better in your opinion? Keep up the great videos!! Thanks!!

  • oooh good one! hmmm I like the 169 because its denser, but 168 is softer and feels better on the skin. Id say, for contouring, I'd go for 169 is really applies the product with ease.

  • thanks so much for this video!! ive been wanting to find a good contouring powder... but i just have 1 question:: do u use blush before or after u do the contouring?? thanks!!!

  • hey rhurrell - definitely do your contouring first. Blush should be the finishing touch.

  • hi koren

thanks for making this video. i have this weird obsession with cheekbones! i always envied those supermodels like daria werbowy for having such perfect facial features. thanks to u now i can just create one! =D

  • I swear, Encore. You are the PERFECT husband! :)

  • hahaha awe, thanks Pilarress!

  • Hey Koren,

I was just wondering if you could tell me what would be a good CHEAPER alternative to the MAC 168-169 brush? Preferably from Coastal Scents or Michael's. Thanks!

  • hey sprinkles - the angled contour brush from Coastal, either in black handle or pink. Watch my CHEAP brushes and Pretty in Pink reviews videos, to see.

  • Just wanted to say that I love your videos. You are so charismatic and know what you are doing (can't say the same about all tutorials out there). Thanks :)

  • Just wanted to say that I love your videos. You are so charismatic and know what you are doing (can't say the same about all tutorials out there). Thanks :)

  • ahh... Thanks!

  • Hey Koren!

I was just wondering, what is the difference between a blush, a beauty powder, and an Iridescent powder? All of the New MAC collections like FAFI and HEATHERETTE is confusing me!

    Sorry for the inconvienience!

  • hi Gracie - well blush is more opaque and highly pigmented, they come in matte or shimmery finish. Beauty powder is basically tinted face powder, sheer, but with shimmer. And irridescent powder is the same but with pearlized, irridescent, pearlescent effects.

  • great video thanks!

would you use blush after or just leave it like that? Can I just use a highlighter powder and bronzer?

    keep up the good work

    Xgail

  • yep you can add blush between the contour and highlite if you'd like.

  • hi~I have seen your videos recently.

Many of them are really useful for me!!!

    thank you~

  • sad. my place they are all out of stock! means i can't get them anymore! :(

  • hey Ssantos -the regular ones are available in the Pro line. They are not duos, they are singles and they are the same size as blushes.

  • I don't use mac foundation, but I'm a Sand in Bobbi Brown or Light/Fairly Light in Bare Minerals, would you recommend bone or accentuate?

  • yeah youre probably bone beige.

  • thank you so much for this video. i'm getting married this month and want to be a "blusing" bride, this helped me a lot!!! love the new intro you have too!

  • hey beautiful i am NW43 wish one you recommend

  • i think the one i used will be great on you. Its the Sculpt/Accentuate duo.

  • Oh your so lucky you have a slimmer face, i got chubby cheeks hahaha , Very difficult to find my bones!

  • hi koren its me again,i bought mineralize skin finish natural in light medium,i am thinking of buying sculpt and shape powder, what color can you recommend? thanks, grace

  • you can probably use BoneBeige/Emphasize duo. If you think thats too loght, then Sculpt/Accentuate.

  • thanks koren

  • Very nice, can`t wait to try it

  • what is the name of the product he was talking about in the beginning?

and where can i buy it?

  • Hey Koren, thanks for the info. I have a light/medium skintone, used products from NC20 to NC30 should I go for BoneBeige/Emphasize or Accentuate/Sculpt? Thanks!

  • Accentuate/Scult might be better for you.

  • wow...very nice! i see the difference i can't wait to get my sculpt and shape duo next week

  • thanks!! love your videos! you do a very good job of explaining....of cos now i feel like going to buy more make-up stuff! :)

  • Would this be a good technique to do if someone had a fuller face for a slimming affect? Also, what about blush? Would this be a time when no blush is used?

  • hey Goddess - yes contouring is definitely ideal to reshape facial features. By contouring, you can create a slimmer look to the face. You can opt our Blush if you wish to. If you still want to wear a blush for a little more color, put it as normal, apple of the cheeks blend up and out towards the temporals.

  • Hi Koren,

I love your tutorial and you're a very nice guy to show us all those information about make up. Because I don't have shaper duo, I'd like to know if I can use two powders: one ligther and other darker.

  • sure! you can use tan tone Blush and a light powder. You can even use powder eyeshadows in matte brown tones, and beige for hi-light.

  • I have cheekbones now! Thanks for your amazing tutorials! Keep up the good work, we need more artist like you out here!

(From a formerly round faced girl.)

  • Hi, I love your video's. I wish you added more digtial camera pictures of the finished look because they quality from the video isn't doing your work any justice. Just a tip.

  • wow! it makes such a difference! i had convinced myself that the duo's would be a waste of money for me as i'd never use them but i'm hot footing it to mac now! fabulous as always! x

  • Ahh! Thank you! So much better. The pucker face did nothing for me. I was really upset, because my face is extremely round lol.

  • Oh nooo. I got the wrong color! ): Dang, ahaha.

  • I got too dark what did u get? I might have to use vanilla to lighten mine..or use it as expensive eyeshadow

  • I'm a NC 25 or 30, and I got the lightest shade, which didn't work for me at all. You couldn't see anything. So I got the accentuate one.

  • I got the accentuate and I shuold have gotten the bone one

  • Your silly "smile, pucker" i Love it. Keep up the glamourousness.

    Johnnie C.

  • alright then, I guess I will get this duo home(I've been persuading myself not to get it for a month because I already have two bronzers for contouring...)

Quick question, How and where do you put on blush after the contour and highlight thing? Usually I apply blush under my cheek bones...

  • hey akill - you can place your blush right where the contour and highlight meet, usually right on the cheekbone, from the apple of the cheek working up to temporal.

  • I looooooooooooved you video! Thank you so much! You are a makeup genious!

  • Thank you so much. I always wanted to know how to contour properly. Cannot wait to try this. You step things out so well for a naive makeup user!

  • koren, i went to the MAC boutique to get this product. unfortunately they told me even the darkest shades would not be suitable for me. i wear Studio Fix powder and stick foundation (both) NC45.

What would you recommend? You think maybe I shld get liquid foundation NC55 instead?

Btw, I live in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. They also do not have the lip erase cream (?).

  • hey padzak - sorry to hear no Lip Erase there yet. Im sure eventually they will have it. If you're an NC45, the darkest should work fine. You can also use darker foundations to contour. NC55 is good. Also, see if you can get Shadowy Contouring powder - its a Pro Product.

  • thank you, koren. i'm calling them to see if they've got it. we have about 5 large MAC boutiques in my city and a few more counters in departmental stores. thats why i am surprised that lip erase is not available here yet... my usual MAC sales person did not even know what I was talking about.

will keep you updated about the Shadowy Contouring Powder.

Also, I'm of East Indian descent... u think the smokey eyes look will be suitable for me -- i have deep-set eyes.

  • hey Koren, do you recommend this product over emote powder blush?

  • hey teemers - if emtore suits your coloring, then its good. Some people find Emote too dark, and some too light. So the Duos give them more tone and shade choices.

  • you are a nc? you look on the warmer side

  • yep NC30

  • Once you contour do you need to set it with powder?

  • not if youre already using powder. Now if you're contouring using creams, then yes, set with powder.

  • you look so cute doing a fish face and smil and pucker

  • I tried the "smile then pucker" technique while doing my makeup for an event last night and it is totally the superior method to finding where to put the contour color! Thanks!

  • you're welcome :)

  • Hi Koren, I had a question. Which duo should I order? I'm NC 44 in Studio Fix Fluid.. Thanks in advance. :)

  • the lgihtsweep/shadester duo

  • hi, thanks for this tutorial! You look great and your cheeks are adorable :)

i can't wait for my items to come in the mail. i am quite lighter than you but i don't know what shade i am in terms of MAC foundations, but I wear medium in Sheer Cover. I bought lightsweep and shadester. Is that too dark for me? :(

  • hey babylard - if you're lighter than me, then ltswp/sdstr is going to be too dark, then again, some people prefer the darker duos somehow for contouring, so see if you like it when you get it.

  • Hi Koren!!! I want to order duo on line but not sure which one I should get--I wear nw15-nw20 would u say bone-beige/emphasize?? Thanks so much!!!
