Hello I was sooooo broken in drugs and alcohol that I never thught I would feel or sing and then Jesus came down through the heaven as SELAH and I have survived ever since
I watched the stoning of a young girl on you tube. I have carried these images of brutality in my mind for days. I am sick with the grief of it. This song brought some measure of comfort. We have hopelessly lost our way.
May those who find the way of Christ be joyful because you have discovered the best thing in the world. No matter what life may throw at you God will always have mercy on you because He longs for our presence with Him.

Did you know that Todd and Nicol Smith (the two blonds in the pic) are a sister and brother who were raised by missionary parents in Africa. Their parents and grandparents sacrificed their comfort and ease to save how many starving and lost people over their many decades as missionaries. It's good for us to say the needs but these have acted.

My father-in-love, Steve, has been fighting pancreatic cancer for two years now. His diagnosis has caused all of our family to consider his passing, as we all seek the grace we need in this situation. As I am a keyboardist and vocalist, Steve's daughter has recently asked that she and I sing Selah's version of Wonderful, Merciful Savior at his funeral. We don't expect it will be next week or next month, but Selah has brought the grace we need today.
My friend from church is dying of cancer, there is something about this song that touches me. For the past 4 nights, i have been crying my self to sleep. Last night, i put this CD in and played this song a BILLION times. It helped alot!

We were sure of God's plan for our lives, but my mother's doubts kept her back from her blessing, and he (like the amazing person he is) loved me enough to keep me within my mother's will. The pain will subside; you will remember her with joy, still mingled with sadness, but not with agony. There are times I still feel I can't go on, but the Lord reminds me that I'll see him again someday.

@Hick9898 My parents broke my best friend and I apart about 15 months ago. We were sure of God's plan for our lives, but my mother's doubts kept her back from her blessing, and he (like the amazing person he is) loved me enough to keep me within my mother's will. The pain will subside; you will remember her with joy, still mingled with sadness, but not with agony. There are times I still feel I can't go on, but the Lord reminds me that I'll see him again someday.

Well Tom, it is believed that if one turns their life over to Jesus and repents, he will be saved.. even rapists and murders. NOT because they deserve it, but only by God's grace. Thats all it takes. Now to most of us, we'd rather see these rapists and murders "burn in hell". but it isnt up to us. Its "not fair" and its hard to accept, but as a parable says, "why should we care how the Master pays others when we ourselves are getting paid". Faith is difficult. :)

I get lost easily into the darkness of temptation. At times, it is just easier to do than following and obeying God. I have always been a "Metal" music fan. Sometimes you have to unplug for awhile and soak into the soul the praise and worship of Selah, I listen to this song over and over, never do I tire of it. These guys can bring life to any "ol" hymn and make hearts rejoice to the kindom of Salvation! Thank You Selah for all you do and sing.
